Wtf is wrong with these morons who keep complaining about killing animals? This isnt a sitcom, this is survival. These idiots are so accustomed to their lazy do nothing and get waited on hand and foot lifestyle that they have no sense of what it means to survive. This has been the way of life from the beginning of time, this is nature, this is survival, if we dont kill it, something else will. If u cant handle it, go watch Glee.

Man what a cool show, as far as all the complaining about the young guy killing so called everything in sight or for money I hope you are all vegans! Otherwise you're just being hypocrites, he kills to eat and uses these animals to survive. How is that any different than a cattle rancher or a chicken farmer? we all do the same as he does but pay others to kill and process our meats.

I love this show! The Hailstone family are my favorite. I don’t have a problem with the way these people live. Even the young hunting guide kid has a right to make a living and live the life he loves. That's what freedom is about. Your local grocery store wastes more food on a daily basis the any of these folks waste all year. How many grocery stores are in your town? Can you scrounge for usable food in your stores dumpsters? Probably not. Locked tight to avoid any lawsuits and discourage homeless. I live rural California. Hunting and/or fishing for sustenance is illegal as well as eating wasted food out of dumpsters. You cant even harvest roadkill in this state. I have great respect for these peoples way of life, even Ol' "Bearbait" Sue!

Perhaps Sue ran out of original things to say awhile back. But, Sue isn't on the planet to entertain anyone... she lives to be a safety zone for strangers. And, it's purdy kewl that Discovery channel indirectly helps her fund Kavik landing field /camp. Trolls might wanna check their own success list if first thoughts regarding her are negative. She's a living breathing super hero to a lot of people. Are you?

I've only gotten thru a few episodes so far but it is extremely informative and entertaining! If you try to imagine yourself in these different people's life ask yourself if you could REALLY live that way. I've become more of a loner but this takes it to an entire new level!

I am shocked at how jealous i actually am of these people in this show, i hope to one day live like them. I demand everyone grow some balls, move out to the middle of nowhere and drastically change your ways of life to be more like these dudes in Alaska.

awesome show! just love the lifestyle, I spent the summers as a kid going to remote lakes in the Interior of B.C. with my Dad, sometime on horseback for 2 weeks going to lakes that you could only access that way (or by float plane)and they were restricted to Fly Fishing only, so I can really appreciate how rare it is to be exposed to truly remote wilderness and how difficult it can be to find food if something does not quite go your way, and as for the young hunter you have to respect how much care he puts into skinning and using every piece of an animal. it may seem that he is just in it for the money but it is hard work to properly skin an animal, even the taxidermist in town compliments him on the amount of respect he is showing when he puts that much care into his work. anyway nuff said, thanx uploader!!

Totally addictive. Many aspects of their lives I would like to have. These are, no call centres, no boss, no the man, set their own lives and agenda. I wouldnt want to butcher animals though. but I suppose when the push-comes-to-a-shove and I was in that situation... They live by rules we all should but are encouraged by the MSM etc.. not to, that is in good times prepare for the hard times. Self reliance is also what we are not supposed to follow, something these guys have in abundance. "A fifty year old fat chick" - Sue good on ya.

Sue did sue the producers and a few others involved regarding her accident back in 2015. I read an Anchorage Daily News article that was Published February 21, 2017 regarding her law suit. The incident in question was when the producer demanded she drive her new sled at speed over an overflow on a river even though she said it was unsafe as did the safety crew. She was told she had to do it. Keep in mind she was not used to that machine or its handling characteristics and that driving over overflows isn't a safe thing to do. Based on that article I feel she had every right to sue them for putting her in a dangerous position that caused her months of lost work and a great deal of pain and hardship. I was unable to find any further information about the lawsuit. ... I found her FB page and she posted a happy new year comment that said she will appear in the middle of this up coming season. She said 'I wont be on the episodes until mid season ... I was still helping my buddy at his Camp ... working with Make a Wish Foundation etc and family emergency ... I also am hoping to embark on a several week personal ski journey into back country stuff.'. I for one am glad she will still be with the show.

I stumbled across this and loving this kinda stuff I fell right in love with this show. Gotta say, I love Sue & Agnes. Woould love a woman like that to share my hunting trips with me or even try this way of living. Gotta say tho, they need some help with marksmanship. First and foremost b4 every hunt you should be making sure your rifle is shooting true so you take the animal cleanly and humanely as possible.

You guys complaining about these guys hunting and killing their meals should be thankfull they have a grocery store where they can buy their meat in packages already butchered.... fucking drives me nuts how people get all offended when they see someone kill an animal but eat meat.. either go vegan or gtfo

There's so many Alaskan reality shows on tv these days, that I decided to give some of them a go! Many of which I didn't like right away, but this one, this one here is a keeper in my book! It's just like Survivor, but for real, and for life or death. I quiet enjoy the way they live, and even though I know it's rough living for sure, something in me craves an abnormal, self sufficient, cut off from society, simpler life...and I do enjoy watching them live that life very much!!! Great show, 5/5 imo!!
