The first season is a fun watch, and gets you caring about each character... and hating some! (The character development reminds me of TGoT) Each episode is brimming with creative flair, and has an inventive flavor that we all crave when we see the name, Da Vinci. Season two, oh my, the proportions of epic here are astounding! Keep in mind, I don't mind exchanging historical accuracy for creative writing, some do... so be warned. With that in mind, be prepared for episodes of laughter, suspense, mystery, action, deceit, and an inventive juxtaposition that only a Da Vinci inspired show could inspire.

Everybody keeps talking about the historical accuracy of this show, and I ask you: how can you be certain of anything written in history books? Historical evidence we have is merely a fraction of what really happened, and not very credible as it often very subjectively reflects the political and religious climate of the time. I personally believe that DaVinci was just like he is presented here: a bisexual eccentric genius, passionately and eagerly looking to discover the real and absolute truth about the world around him, cleverly and covertly operating under the very noses of those trying to hide it. Anything less or different than that would have been a waste of his incredible genius, and therefore highly improbable. Why do you think so little is known about him in the first place? Because he preferred it that way. I say it's high time someone told his story from this, a very likely perspective.

most shows aim for true greatness, few falling little farther than mediocre... But this work of art, here.... This has the potential to eclipse a magnificence rarely achieved by any work of thespian discipline. Hopefully curious to see how it develops.

Amazing show, very well done! I lost count of how many tv shows I watch or watched but I have to say that only a few can be compared to the greatness of this one!

i'm glad i started to watch this show just now, now that there are two seasons, cause the end of season one is really abrupt and i would have gone nuts waiting a year for the rest!

This show is well paced, having all ingredients for a masterpiece. Good looking cast and a great mix of all levels of human emotions. Really hoping for a season 3.

Tom Riley (DaVinci) is the Johnny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes) of the Renaissance! If you are a fan of the methodical and deductive thinking of CBS' Sherlock Holmes then you will certainly enjoy watching Riley portray one of the most gifted, if not misunderstood, minds of the period.

Fast paced, entertaining, provocative, this show delivers. I watched all of season 1 and its 8 episodes in less then a day. Sort of like Indiana Jones meets the Borgias. For historians its based on Da Vincis Lost Years so anything is possible. Highly recommend watch!!

I don't know why people are saying it's inaccurate because Da Vinci's sexual orientation is wrong. It's inaccurate for all other things but him being gay was NEVER proven. It mostly came from him and his boy servant (Nico) always being together and it was guessed that they were lovers. Him being gay is just as accurate as him being a pedophile, and we all don't want that.

There are real parallels between DaVinci and Sherlock Holmes and as much as I love the Sherlock series I like this Davinci character more. Sherlock is so high on himself but Davinci is more humble, if not a bit crazy haha, and he doesn't overly boast of his genius like Sherlock does. And besides, this show is so full of action and mystery and a little magic that it keeps you excited for what comes next.

I am new to this show and I love it, however one thing bugs me, and could so easily have been corrected, and it is that Serendibite ring Lucrezia has...Serendibite was not discovered until 1902! This is not a historical fact thing, I enjoy the creativity with those, just to me it is a bit unnecessary as they could have chosen so many other stones that were around at the time.
