An excellent well balanced interesting documentary. I saw the other two and like others was looking forward to this part of the story. Well presented and produced. Very very good work. I agree with posimosh who said this film was fresh and original. The best to all the people involved who put their best to the test, time and time again. I loved how Jason, after 18 years in prison, greeted his mother and as she came into the hotel room, he held the door behind her so as not to have it bump her. A gentle man. I wish the West Memphis Three the best years ahead.

Never before has something made me feel so much sorrow for the victimes, their families, the wrongly convicted; and so much hatred for the police and "experts" that perverted the course of justice in order to save their own a$$e$. Everyone would like to think that if they were innocent, nothing like this could ever happen to them, but this case proves otherwise. I hated myself after watching the third HBO documentary because I was certain that "you know who" had killed the boys, but then I was faced with the fact that I had been just as bigoted as the small-minded people that believed Echols and co. had committed the crime. It's tough watching, this one; everything to do with this case is.

This is a more classic documentary style film that outlines the case of the "West Memphis Three". Whereas the HBO Documentary trilogy "Paradise Lost" watches like a quite aggravating drama, this film is a more disconnected examination of facts using documentary evidence. I must confess that I was skeptical of this film, mainly due to the fact that PL had thoroughly documented the case, trial, and subsequent goings on in the area that this case took place. Three films totaling roughly 8 hours, told the same story WOM tells here only in the present-tense (with a tiny bit or retrospective examination at the end of all three films.) This film is all retrospective. It is for this reason I believed I would have already seen much of the news reports and other video. Even with the external interest and outside research I had done my myself, this film was a surprisingly fresh, original, and complete documentary that laid out the facts of the crime and subsequent criminal trial of the WM3. I now understand the acclaim that I was once so skeptical of that this film receives, given that PL had already told the story.

This is a really well done documentary on the West Memphis three. It's clear, comprehensive and should definitely be your first choice in regards to films documenting this gross miscarriage of Justice. An absolutely harrowing series of events for those three innocent men, those poor little boys and all the families involved. Not one person truly saw any real justice, and it breaks my heart that this happened. The fact that Terry Hobbs walks free and looks to be the true perpetrator in this, is just the icing on this miserable shit filled cake.

Comprehensive telling of a harrowing tale, but the real terror is knowing such failures of justice are far from isolated.

great documentary that shows how people can easily be mislead down the wrong path by lies, deception, and power. This MAY contain some SPOILERS for those who know nothing about the case; so you may wish to read no further. I remember this case vividly; and was lead down the wrong path as were so many others. It is the last time that has ever happened to me; since then I have maintained innocence of several peeps who have eventually been exonerated as well as the fact I have hung a jury being the only one who recognized the true facts, not the stuff put out by prosecutors and defenders. I would have hated to sit on the original jury, for they must be in anguish over their decission to sentence someone to death who was so obviously not guilty - except - they were lead down the wrong path by such lies, deception and the power the DA and MedEx had at the time. Shameful. But the biggest crime of all - not just the perpetration of further criminal injustices by forcing these men to plead guilty while still maintaining their innocence is the fact that the man who did all of this is still walking around free. That is the real crime....and I do not feel sorry for him the day he meets his maker, for then true justice shall be served. 5/5

I have followed Damien Echols along with Jessie MissKelley and Jason Baldwin for as long as i can remember this documentary shows more and more that these 3 men were wrongly accused and fought until they were allowed to take an Alfred plea. This documentary can bring out emotions on many levels. i for one laughed cried and became angry watching the film.

Great documentary detailing some of the new evidence brought to light in recent years. Without trying to give much away, I think that it's just crazy that the whole turtle thing was not realized quicker than it was, the same with the claw marks. I was glad to see Jason reunite with his mother in a scene that reduced me to tears within seconds and also to see John Mark Byers looking healthier than he had in the Paradise Lost films. I suppose we may never know whether or not Hobbs is guilty (I believe that he is) but if nothing else at least eyes are now upon him. For the sake of Michael, Stevie and Christopher that whoever is guilty is brought to justice. 10/10

This was a very good doc I saw the two before this but this one shows how the justice system does not have a clue in this case they were making stuff up as they went along

Call that the hillbilly justice system lets go after the kids who like heavy metal and let the cops make threats till one of them say they did it that way the real killer can get away because they rather sit at the coffee shop and drink coffee and eat donuts instead of finding the real killer

This is the first and only film on this I have/will watch. It seems to give the whole story open to close, if you're going to watch any movie about this watch this one. I disagree that them 'pleading guilty' gives the dead boys' mothers closure.. it's a false plea.. the fact that Terry still roams free just irks me but I guess that is precipitate from the corruption.

If there is a stronger, better word than "WRONG" in the english language, I would use that word to describe what happened to the WM3.

Many stood up for their rights, including well known public figures and artists. It goes to show, that justice can prevail no matter the cost. The continued injustices inside the judicial and federal branches need to be further met by individuals who are willing to put forth time and effort to rid them of these roaches. We can systematically remove them. Fight the Power! Enjoy!!!
