Times moves so fast ... feels like this came out just last year for me ... after 30 times seems to just fly by... This is amazing movie!!! I remember seeing it in the theater there aren't many movies worth paying to go see anymore this is definitely worth every over priced piece of popcorn and Raspberry ice I consumed during this movie! haha These movies makes me feel like this genre will never die! This is the standard of all fantasy IMO! I could never get enough of it never!

Watch the extended versions instead, it's not just extra scenes but more depth to the story as well as filling some plot holes. In the third part, there's the fight between Galadriel, Elrond, Saruman and the Ringwraiths. That alone is worth the watch.

It was a brilliant movie, overral. Can we just for a sec about the scenery and special efect...they were aaaamazing. It was a good adaptation of the book eventhough the whole thing about the antagonist was a plus, I guess the story needed the spice. Ps. Kili is so handsome. 9/10

From all the Tolkien's books, The Hobbit has always been my favourite, and the movie hasn't disappointed me at all. It keeps the very esscence of the book, the light and lively tone of it. in my oppinon it was better adapted from the book than the trilogy of LOR was (Still awsome movies). The singing and the music is magical! :)

i loved this movie and i gotta admit the people in middle earth have great stamina and endurance to be running as fast as they can over those long hilly distances

It may seem, perhaps, a little slow and less than what other critics have expected. But I believe Mr. Jackson is just laying down the foundations and framework for much awesome and spectacular sequel/s. 8/10

Amazing! Absolutely amazing! Saw this at the cinema last Thursday, and as I left I honestly contemplated running away to find a band of dwarves and go on an adventure! Cannot WAIT for the second installment, and considering that they only got to chapter 7 in this film, and still managed to put so much in, I have hope that the next two will be just as good, if not better! 5 stars

I think people are getting confused. They did not change the Balrog for a dragon. In LOTR the Balrog is deep in the Mines of Moria. In this film however it is the Lonely Mountain, not the Mines of Moria, and this is where the Dragon is. In the beggining of the Lord of The Rings Gandalf says to Frodo about an incident involving a dragon when he had to nudge Bilbo to get him to go on the quest, he is referring to this story in the Hobbit.
