Famine: Two years after a high-school prank involving flesh-eating acid nearly kills popular teacher Mr. Balszack, the graduating class of Sloppy Secondary holds a '24-Hour Famine' charity event on school grounds. But there's an uninvited guest at this event, masquerading as the school's handyman mascot, and he's got an insatiable hunger of his own. The power's cut, the doors and windows are chained shut, and now it's not just cheerleaders who are getting nailed! Has Mr. Balszack come back for revenge? Is his sad tale just a cover for a brand-new psycho? Can the Nailer be stopped before the whole Class of 2011 goes six feet under? Famine is set to be a feast of bad taste. This retro rampage arrives in the tradition of Gutterballs, a colourful kill-a-minute gorefest from Ryan Nicholson, writer Jeff O'Brien and the co-production team at New Image Entertainment.

Not that bad of a movie had some funny parts. If you liked Gutterballs you'll like this movie.

Dreadful. Predictable script. Amateur acting and cliche dialogue. And, did I mention the really crap acting? And the direction was trash. Do not watch this if you expect ANY form of entertainment

The line (This retro rampage arrives in the tradition of Gutterballs)got me hyped up to watch because that was a great movie. This however was not a great movie! Felt like a Troma film rather than a Canadian horror film. Canada has released some awesome horror films such as Gutterballs, Slashers, Scanners, The Paperboy, Happy Birthday To Me, Ginger Snaps trilogy, End of the line, Curtains, Cube, Black Xmas, Altitude. It felt like the entire cast was constipated. Not a film that I would recommend anyone to watch unless a big fan of Troma films which I am not nor will I be adding this to my collection.

watch at own risk... uh, not bad for a cheap laugh and intense indie gore, the dialog is so awful its funny and the actors kind of play into that. All in all enh, couldn't finish. Slow and weird. 1.5/5*

oh and Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson both created classics from their debuts being Evil Dead and Bad Taste so i don't see the next Spielberg or Burton coming out of this.

the production values are definitely increasing as are the story lines. before you guys judge too hard remember every director starts somewhere. just look at Sam Ramini (newest Spiderman movies), and Peter Jackson's (LoTR, King Kong, District 9) Early films. You never know could be the next Steven Spielberg, or Tim Burton. So just watch it and have fun with it. Or dont. 6/10
