10/10. Nobody does period dramas like the English. That manor house... the grounds.. wow! I can't believe how the English gentry lived. Lovely film. Great ending. Matthew Rhys is an amazing actor. Highly recommended.

A good attempt at the Daphne DuMaurier novel, but even the great Lawrence Olivier, could not make this work in the 2nd adaptation. It tanked. The great Knebworth House is a star in its own right.

I thought this was a new series, but it's a TV movie. Nevertheless it's a great watch with a lot of suspense, great acting and beautiful country scenery. If you like a good period drama then this is for you, 4/5

great period film with some of the most spectacular inside visuals you can imagine, what a house!!! The acting was very good, and I loved the plot with the most perfect movie ending I have seen in years. As noted below, if you like period films set in the early 1950s you will love this one. 9/10
