Worlds Toughest Prisons: Following the lives of the inmates of two of the worlds toughest prisons. Julio and Tony are former LA gang members serving time for homicide in Mexico Citys high security prison – Santa Martha. Seen as outsiders with money they have both been attacked many times but they are more than willing to fight back Lurigancho Prison in Peru was built for 3600 inmates but now houses nearly 10,000, with only 100 unarmed guards. To control the prisoners the authorities have handed over the running of the prison to a council of inmate leaders.

these make the prison i was in look like summer camp we had good food 3 times a day all the drugs u could do no fights tv no rapes no killings all the showers you want work out room a yard where guards leave half cigarettes sweat grass sessions church visits any day you can buy so much stuff from the store dammit i wanna go back.... NOT (im a good boy now) im never going back

These jails are for people that can not be in normal jails. It does not mater what they were charged with if you are to violent etc to be in regular jail you go here.

The prison itself isn't tough, its the men inside the prison. Its an interesting look inside though.
