Breaking Pointe: Series goes behind the stage curtain for an intense, unfiltered look at one of the most competitive ballet companies in the country, Ballet West, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beneath the beauty and glamour of the dance and costumes is a gritty dog-eat-dog world of extreme athleticism, focus, dedication, passion, pressure and, of course, the hunt for the unattainable perfection

I actually like this show, surprisingly. I didn't expect there to be any good dancers in a company in Utah of all places, but they all seem really dedicated, they aren't idiots like most reality stars and it's good that America gets to see real artists at work and not just the minute-long "choreography" on SYTYCD

I had the honor of seeing Ronnie dance. He is amazing! Thanks to K12 for arranging our visit there. It was truly awesome.

Good to see Breaking Pointe back for a second season. These guys are absolute machines, they train hard and they party hard and who doesn't love the DRAMA of it all. A great look into the personal and professional lives of ballet dancers.

This is very nicely done, and as far as reality shows go I'd rather see people who know what they want going for it. One gripe I have is the superimposing of poorly-chosen contemporary music on the original piece, e.g. when Beckanne has a solo in episode 5... I would rather hear the classical. I just wish we had more reality shows like this.

For me this show rises above other 'reality' type shows because it leads somewhere, these people are doing something other than whoring themselves for TV exposure, and it is grueling. / / / / I don't envy the artistic director. It may look like he has dancers' futures at his whim, but they don't show how he answers to the board, probably has to coddle major donors, finds the ballets and shows, or how much of his life this sucks away from having a personal existence. / / / / There are some very important life lessons in this series: 1. Love (part A): Anyone who wants you to give up your PASSION for their OCCUPATION is short-sighted and selfish. Love (part B): You can't always make people feel the way you want them to feel. / / / / 2. Gossips: If someone tells you juicy stuff about other people, they're telling everyone else about you. / / / / 3. Dancers: They're beautiful and perhaps a little bit insane.

very bored with the first 30 minutes of the first episode. I ended up skipping the first 5 minutes because of their "conversation", then I just became even more bored b/c of the lack of emotion or feeling in their voices. Based on the commercials, I was expecting an actual sitcom not a "reality" show. VERY disapointed.
