The Battle for Marjah: On February 13, 2010, American-led coalition forces launched the biggest military operation since the beginning of the Afghanistan War. Their target was the town of Marjah, a Taliban stronghold in southern Afghanistan. There, the Marines had four tasks: remove the Taliban, hold all ground seized, build infrastructure and governance, and transfer control to Afghan security forces. In this powerful account, award-winning journalist Ben Anderson tells the story of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, and its commanding officer, Captain Ryan Sparks. At the battle's outset, Sparks and the 272 men of Bravo are flown 12 miles and dropped into the center of Marjah, where the Taliban lie in wait. For the young Marines, their first task begins. Embedded with Bravo Company, Anderson provides an intimate and sobering look at the realities of counterinsurgency warfare.

Yeah, co0peration my butt, American took the town and had to shove some poor Afgan person around to make it look like they were leading the charge. Instead of having competent leaders in Afgan army they seem leaderless ragtag and only there for the PR camera crew to photograph. You could tell the US soldiers were tired of having to haul them around to prove Obama's goofy plan was carried out. That town needed leveling, everyone of those people hated the American presence there and as soon as they left went right back to shooting from a distance and hiding behind children. Waiting for hours for air strikes that never happen ticks me off, having to clear political hurdles instead of enemy soldiers can make anyone hate Obama's involvement in anything military.

an unfortunate subject but a good documentry using actual real footage and interviews/comments taken at the scene. The only real complaint i have are the way the Afghan troops were shown to be shoved around quite often (yes they arent as well trained but it still looked bad).

There was no cooperative operation, the Afgan soldeirs were treated as human shields. Watching this made my blood boil.
