The most feared, and misunderstood plant on the planet. It's completely safe, and has so many uses, yet because William Randolph Hurst decided to use his power and influence to protect his interests in the timber industry, we now have millions of people in prison, police that are over run with simple stoners, and millions of jobs (not to mention billions of dollars) that never got to exist. Even if you're not a weed fan, you should think about what you do like. What happens when someone decides caffeine is a drug, and decides that it should be regulated or even made illegal. Millions of coffee drinkers across America would rise up against the government. This isn't about a plant any more, it's about the right for a grown adult human being to decide what, if anything, they put into their body. Let's start to use rationality, and personal responsibility to put this wonderful plant back to the status it once held for over 8,000 years, before William Randolph Hurst.

Very good and well presented documentary. This should be shown in schools and in every home not to educate the young because they already know this to be true but to educate those who still think it's a terrible drug that leads people who take it to do terrible things. Nor is it to educate those who refuse to amend these draconian laws because they already know what this picture says to be true but most of them care only about money and are addicted to it and their addiction is fed by big business' who are in competition with this plant and who don't wish to see their profits dwindle. I hope that what I imagine will not happen but right now I only see the laws change when the drug companies are finally able to put it in a pill they can sell to you but will still force the Gov. to keep it illegal to grow it your self.

It's a shame that there is this NATURAL plant that can cure so many things and yet the Government would rather poison us with legal chemicals and drugs and for what? The only reason they don't do much about the heroine, meth, crack and coke users is because it is there way of cleansing America. Sad but true, IMO, that is. It is the only thing that allows me to sleep yet I can't use it legally, and I hate taking sleeping pills, they don't work for me and I have to take enough drugs already for my asthma! I say legalize baby! For the right reasons of course! I agree with imakecomments, alcohol is more of a gateway drug than herb. And, @thehungrybird, I agree, the film could have presented another side, it was pretty bias and it would have made it more interesting or at least give you something to contemplate.

I like that one, had some good info, a must watch for those who still cannot look past the legality aspect ,and instead should focus on clear proven results and testimony from so many that do not deserve judgement from said people. 9/10.

Current polls, including the Harris and others show that between 40% and up to 70% of Amerians, depending on the poll think it's time to legalize marijuana. How about them apples? Maybe it will happen in my lifetime, I hope. Check out the facts; run a Google or some other search engines and find what you get when you search for modern or current marijuana polls. Good luck all.

I am absolutely a supporter for the legalization of marijuana but definitely NOT a supporter of this movie. I was only able to watch ten minutes of it before I had to conclude that it was nothing more than flag-waving and rally crying. There's nothing I hate more than propaganda and without presenting any reasoning that could be validated and used to support the film maker's cause, this film paints marijuana supporters as mindless children wailing for the lawmakers' attention. Do the rest of us who support the legalization of marijuana a favor and stop undermining our credibility!

I thought this was a forum about the movie, not a "legalize ...' commercial.
