Why is this Robert Irvine guy still around? He completely faked his resume to get onto tv. He said he helped make Princess Diana's wedding cake and that he worked in the royal kitchen. He also said that he was a knight commander in the navy and that he cooked in the white house. He even claimed that Queen Elizabeth (his good friend) had given him a castle. None of this was remotely true and he only owns one restaurant in SC that isn't doing so well. At the very least, this guy is a proven liar. How is someone like this supposed to help others in the industry in any way? Look up Restaurant Impossible success rate, you'll see that most of the places he tries to save still end up failing after the initial media buzz that the show creates. If that's the case, what's the point of this show?

I agree with most of the comments, I too used to love this show but lately he seems to be down right abusive when it is completely uncalled for. Another thing that grates on my nerves is the man has no class. He eats with his mouth open and smacks his lips, it totally turns me right off

A great show! I feel it has all the ingredients that make a TV show good and interesting which are, drama, conflict, and positive outcome.

It's a good show and very entertaining. If you are thinking of opening your own restaurant and have no background experience in the restaurant business then this show is for you lol. Personally I think Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is much better.

This show is not my cup of anything anymore. I'm turned off by this arrogant muscle bound bully that isn't for real anyway. His baloney doesn't cut it. Maybe Irvine is a nice guy elsewhere but I'm no longer a fan of this stupid show. Ramsey is much more authentic and Robert is a wannabe schmuck, IMHO.

I agree that this guy is a phony and his show is purely an ego trip for him. He's an ass, too: a friend and I ran into him on the street in New Orleans in August 2014 as he was unloading his luggage from his car. She and I stopped (two women) and spoke to him, and we WERE going to offer to help with his luggage, but he was SUCH a complete ASS, rude and hateful to us, that I told her to let him carry his own shit. We walked away. I'll never watch this show again, nor will he ever see a penny of mine.

I don't understand why he doesn't check the kitchen first before allowing a service that is what irritates me about this show.

This show is exactly like Kitchen Nightmares. British host - check, designing restaurants - check, accentuating fresh food and ideas (and berating) the chef/cooks on staff - check. Pain in the ass owner - check. Hosts own design team - check. Check, check, check.

I used to love this show. Now it is mostly about Robert Irvine flexing and showing off his muscles and playing amateur therapist to nutty restaurant oweners. Not fun any more.
