How the Universe Works: This is the greatest story ever told, the creation of everything us. The programme investigates how the Universe came into existence out of nothing, and how it grew from a minuscule point, smaller than an atomic particle, to the vast cosmos we see today.

I need this show along with the original Cosmos and the new Cosmos in a collection. If I ever have kids, I think they'll be amazed watching these.

I've watched a lot of space documentaries, and this is by far the best one that I have ever found. I watched this series back to back dozens of times and it still amazes me every time. 10/10. Just wish that Mike Rowe would have narrated the second season as well.

Absolutely fuckin' awesome. Great explanations of all of the goings-on in our universe, from the big bang to star formation, galactic activity, dark matter/energy, and the origin of life on our planet. And all the cool things in-between. Mike Rowe does a good job narrating, it sounds like he at least studied up and tried to understand what he'd be talking about. He gets the terms right and is able to explain phenomena without sounding ignorant of or incredulous about any of the processes. It reminds me of listening to a (good) science teacher teach students about the universe, he's able to make it intriguing and exciting to hear, and not like somebody just reading long words out of a textbook. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 5 / 5 stars!! Keep making more, this stuff never gets old to me.

Good documentary. Lots of input from various scientists in relevant fields, good narrator and the science is pretty up to date. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Cosmos or the "Wonders of" series. (Should note that I wrote this a few episodes into season one).

This is one of the best documentary series. This series is more pleasing to the eye due to the advancement of technology of course. The presentation is very well done with top notch CGI. GREAT 5/5

This show covers a wide array of topics about our universe and sheds light on many of the studies into them. I found though that at some points the scientists speaking about these topics were pretentious on seemingly unproven or speculative ideas or theories. This is fine as a means of exciting the imagination but I worry that viewers could take these speculations as scientific fact. Given that they know far more about these things than I do, I can't gainsay any of their claims but I would prefer more tangible proof than whimsical supposition. For instance, they offer the possibility that a black hole could be a wormhole to another point in space but offer no theories on how that could be or what makes them consider that as a possibility. It also gets a little repetitive earlier on in the series when a subject is touched upon in one episode but repeated then expanded upon in a later episode. This may be ideal for those who watch it week-to-week and find the refresher of the topics to be helpful but as I binge-watched the series it got tiring. Still, great information and a fascinating presentation to space exploration.
