I dont like that in this kind of films, some people just comment about how well directed it is, the edition, etc, but nothing about the history what also meter. This was interesting, but sad.

That was so sad , so many people died for a mad man! How could the adults kill 273 children and then kill each other? :'(

Good doc. Very disturbing. I watched it to try to understand why it happened but I guess it comes down to brain washing. That's what I gathered by watching the doc. The doc gives a very good account of what happened that gruesome day and why.

I really want to watch this but the Google video wants me to create an account to see it and tbh I don't really trust stuff like that.

These people had clearly lost their way in life & were looking for both someone to help them find the answer & were looking for something outside themselves as being 'responsible' for their problems; as if their 'problem' is outside of themselves rather than inside. They seemed to believe that by leaving society & starting their own, they could fix what was wrong. I firmly believe this is why so few defected. The few that woke up. Easier to follow than to lead, even when it comes to your own psyche.

A sad, sad documentary. How could so many be so disillusioned as to think that suicide for them and their children could be the only answer?

I've seen other docs on Jonestown, and I feel like this one was missing a lot of information. The murders committed there were way worse than this doc portrayed. It's awful to think that there were so many people who wouldn't have committed suicide, and would have lived if they were given a choice, especially the children.

the man was a total moron and with those people being so religiously needy, they were perfect targets for his self-indulgent mental rampage

very interesting. it's always amazing how full grown adults can be brainwashed by another individual.

Hundreds of people in Jonestown were killed by gunshot, crossbow and injection -- that's not suicide.
