Heavy drama, tears will be inevitable. A reality that us, young people from today, can't even imagine that could be real. A wake up call for the real LIFE! 10/10

This is a grueling, wrenching, claustrophobic, terrifying and occasionally funny look at infirmity and what it takes to care for someone when their body turns against them. Its unpleasant stuff, but Amours simplicity and unflinching honesty create a rewarding cinematic experience that is as gripping as it sad.

This film hits you straight in the face with all of It's sincerity, and for that I'm really thankful. Sure It's hard to watch at times, but who said life should be easy? And the thought that this could happen to someone close to you makes it even more believable and human. If Amour gets nominated (and I think it will be) for an 'Best Foreign Language Film' Oscar at the next ceremony, I think it has a good chance to win it, that regardless what other films will be nominated in the same category. For me this film is, together with Das Weisse Band (The White Ribbon), one of Haneke's absolutley best film.

Wow. Michael Haneke is genius! Amour is a brilliant film that is so real and raw. It was no longer cinema but rather life in itself. This film will change you and stay with you forever. I'm so glad it won the Academy Award for best foreign film. Truly well deserved! ***** C'est belle. Quoi? La vie...

This film is an Oscar nominee for Best Picture. Only a few hours ago there were 4 links (of which 1 worked). Checking backing now there is only one link (vidxden) and it does not work. If you find yourself reading this and want to see a great nominated film then check out The Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Hard, intense and terribly tender, the essence of true love.

One of the better films I've seen this year.A tender and deftly done film.Great performances by all the actors, especially the two leads. It deserves to win any sort of Award.

heart wrenching, must watch. Trintignant's acting is brilliant, as always. Directing is wonderful and the movie in its entirety makes you reconsider life and growing old. Tears flowed.

A poignant, achingly heartbreaking depiction of disintegration and dying in old age. The viewer is so thoroughly immersed in this process, that we ask ourselves, what's the point of going on living. Masterful acting from the two leads, and the transition of Anna into decrepitude is remarkable.

What a great portrait of life, death, devotion and most of all love and sacrifice... What can I say, it left me speechless, hurt and desperate. Definetely a masterpiece!

Without a doubt unflinching in its depiction enhanced by two beautifully nuanced performances from the leads. However, with its subdued tones, minimal script, static camera work, it feels cold and distant, and at two hours, rarely leaving the couples apartment, the story becomes repetitive and heavy going.
