Jesus Christ Superstar: Based on a concept album project written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and the subsequent long-running Broadway performance, this film tells the story of the final 6 days in the life of Jesus Christ through the troubled eyes of Judas Iscariot. Too often mis-labeled a musical, this film is a "rock opera." There are no spoken lines, everything is sung.

This is my all-time favourite movie that I've seen literally hundreds of times. I'm not religious but one doesn't have to be for it to rock your socks off. Simon Zealots Song just makes me want to jump up and dance around screaming out the lyrics like he does, and I yell along with Jesus to God 'Allright, I'll die, just watch me die...'. THIS movie should be shown as a midnight sing-a-long movie. Everyone looks like they're baked having a great time making this film.

This is an amazing movie. If you love musicals, you must see this. For believers and non-believers alike, it's for everyone. The story is, of course, real but it's done in a totally, unique and different way. Ted Neeley plays the role of Jesus better than anybody before or since and Carl Anderson (bless his soul - RIP), plays Judas like no other. I used to know every single word to this soundtrack. Check it out - you won't be sorry. It's a classic and how can you go wrong with an Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice production?! Awesome - I've seen it many times and would LOVE to see it live. The crucifixion part gets me every time!!

I have watched this soooo many times and it still moves me. A beautiful musical, for some the music is outdated but the message lives on. If you haven't seen it you should. Very highly recommended!

This is my favorite movie of all times!!!!!! The casting was incredible, Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson were irreplaceable in thier roles as Jesus and Judas, i saw the reunion tour i believe in 1999 right before Carl Anderson passed away and it was everything i remembered from seeing the original cast in Santa Barbara in 1974/75. This is an all-time classic wether your a believer or not..............
