Macbeth: In the violent underbelly of a powerful city, one man's blows ring out from the street fights above everybody else's. Part of a noble gang, feared by the villainous, respected by the community, the vigilante Macbeth protects his friends and neighbors from the violent crime committed by malevolent street gangs. A meeting with three mystics foreseeing Macbeth's control of the gang, combined with the driving ambition of his loving wife, prompts Macbeth to grasp his destiny through violent means. Instability within the gang ensues, with Macbeth murdering anyone who poses a threat to his new-found power. Directed by visions and supernatural visitings, Macbeth now leads a brutal and immoral gang by example, as the bloodshed spirals out of control as fast as Macbeth and his wife plummet into madness

I found this kinda boring.. it does follow the dialogue from the play but it bored me. I preferred the 1970's version.

Firstly the main actor is most certainly Patrick Stewart! Secondly this is a fabulous version of one of Shakespeare's greatest plays. The dialogue is NOT to symbolic and ironic.... ITS SHAKESPEARE! This is poetry. It uses language that we no longer use on a daily basis and it forces the viewer to actually pay attention... which isn't always easy (hell I am a Shakespearian actor and I even have trouble some times lol). This is a fantastic watch! Although I do suggest seeing this live as it is a play by nature

If this is he one I watched in my english class, with the bald dude (lol) than this is a great version! No flashy stage, just pure and simple, like a theater but better because you don't have to sit in an uncomfortable seat wih a bunch of people that have bad breath. Anyways, good version, give it a try =)

Dont trust boxcover. No Patrick Stewart listed on IMDB page.

worth a watch if u like non - commercial smart movies . but this could get a bit difficult to follow coz the dialogues are way too symbolic and ironic . in other words this is purely theatrics being made into a movie
