Yep, this movie should be counted among classics! It should have its place next to 2010. It's old but good. (Stupid pervert robot!)

This is a good rainy-day movie with little to distract you from the actors. If you like movies set in a confined space ( Breakfast Club, Die Hard, Phone Booth etc ) with just a handful of actors, you'll love Saturn 3. 8/10

Saw this one when it first came out. I found the romantic ties between Douglas and Fawcett to be a bit unbelievable, and the futuristic setting to be pretty decent for the times. All in all, not bad at all. but a little slow starting out. Rating: 3 maybe 4 out of 5.

The SFX were good, Farrah was HOT (as always), but the movie just plain sucked.

8/10 Kirk Douglas romantic lead, Farrah Fawcett a sexy clinging vine. A couple that is a bit improbable but easy on the eyes. I think this 1980's production has held up well. It tries to answer the question of should we ever transfer all aspects of a fallible human psyche into a powerful sentient robot? I think that defeats the whole idea of making a smart robot in the first place. It will be prone to making all the mistakes that our species does. It does make for an interesting tale though.

Saw this in the theaters when I was a kid. I wonder if its worth watching 30 something years later.

I still like Hal better as homicidal robot but still a good rendition of the psychological horror. Acting is decent and the plot is adequate. The final scenes are pretty good but I didn't expect anything worse from that era of science-fiction. Happy endings are overrated. The designs are good to great except for the survey spaceship which is ridik-huh-lus for it's purpose. It would be highly inefficient and it's completely obsolete with the technology apparently available to this future. They have direct cerebral interfaces with robots but still need 2 people to pilot a tiny vessel for surveillance purposes? Come on that's just wrong. And I just don't get the menacing music at the end. I give this a 7 out of 10 because it's still a good watch in these post-modern times.

This is one of only a very few Sci-Fi films Douglas has ventured into, some of the special effects and models are nothing special but the story is modern and well directed fawcett plays a very good empty head blond. With so small a cast its supprisingly interesting to the very end... 3/5

Nice one time watch for a 1980 sci fi. Was moderately entertained through out and enjoyed the look of the film but didn't find it to be any thing too special. For what it's worth I enjoyed.
