Smilla's Sense of Snow: Based on Peter Hoeg's bestseller, this film is set in snowy Copenhagen where a small boy is found dead after he fell off a roof. Smilla Jasperson, a close friend who lives in the same house begins to suspect murder because she knows that the boy was afraid of heights and would not have played on the roof. As she begins to investigate, she is pulled deeper and deeper into a conspiracy that could very well mean her death.

Just happened to come across this movie and I liked it. Nice places where it is filmed. Great shots of Greenland and a very interesting mystery. Not many movies with the Inuit people but when there is one made it's great. Just want say Gabriel Byrne is not hot n sexy with looks but there is something about him that is :P

This is an okay movie, very long and a bit predictable. Ormond was good in her role and the boy was too cute for words. :) Suspense 7/10, cinematography 10/10.

I read the book before I watched the movie. Usually I am not too fond of films made after a book. This is one of the rare exceptions.
