Im not saying its a bad movie. But seriously, I watched the BBC Sherlock last week and well... This just doesn't keep the same standard as that. RDJ is great though, and the movie would probebly have been better if my head wasn't filled with expactations.

I am something of an afficianado of Sherlock Holmes in all his many guises. As far as the classical interpretation of Holmes goes there is no doubt that Jeremy Brett has forever defined the character. But, this film was a whole different take on the great Sherlock Holmes. All I can say is, Well done. This film was brilliant and fun. And, RDJ was too.

Impressive representation of Sherlock Holmes. The script is seamlessly creative, most importantly it is well delivered. The cast is just outstanding, not to mention the quality of cinematography and over all camera work. 8/10

A good movie to reintroduce the Sherlock Holmes franchise to a whole new audience, very well acted by all concerned, with a fantastic period setting. The 2 leads played off each other very well. 8/10

All 3 links appear to be the same version and though I'm grateful for the free vids and people's attempts to provide free vids... it's not good enough quality to watch yet but I will def. be keeping an eye for when there's a better one... this looks good!

Could not have chosen better actors for this movies other than RDJ and Jude Law, loving their banters and the ultra-fast thought processes of Holmes :D deductions pay the correct homage to Doyle's books and I love this movie :) 9.7/10 (mainly because I hate to give 10's)

A remarkable performance by Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Robert gave Sherlock Holmes a bit more of clever sarcasm, and all the relevant characters were pretty well developed. The plot's amazing and the film has a pleasant flow. Totally recommended, one of the best Sherlock Holmes films.

I love the new Sherlock Holmes movies. The chemistry between Law & Downey Jr. is spot on. Was putting off watching this film until I forced myself to, thought it would disappoint me, but not at all. The slow motion fight scenes blow me away every time I see them. Would recommend this movie to anyone. Great watch! 10/10

This was a good movie indeed! It's kind of confusing at first but then it drags you into it , Give it a 10 out of 10. Now if you will excuse me am going to watch the second one.

To the people who were disappointed about how it digresses from conan doyle and spout a divergence from the original character. do you really think film companies are going to try to maximise profits by portrying holmes as an occasional opium addict? NO!!!! great film, great actors and a good trot along storyline. So all haters calm down and just enjoy an ADAPTATION of a past work re-written to access the millions, i.e. romeo and juliet baz luhrmann. How many more suddenly found Shakespeare more fun and worth looking in to after that? Good film to just sit and WATCH no more intelligence needed sit back and enjoy, loved the action/fight sequences too. Hats off to Guy Ritchie 9/10

Amazing film, 10/10. The trailer for the second film looks even better than the first.

This movie is NOT the Sherlock Holmes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created. Doyles Holmes was more of a Gentleman-type character while Downey Jr's is a quirky action hero. HOWEVER, to say that this movie is bad because of that is stupidity in the highest degree. I am a huge fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories and while this was not entirely accurate to the stories, it was the single best Holmes adaption made. Every single casting choice was amazing. Downey was a superb re-imagining of Holmes; Law was PERFECT for Watson; McAdams was a flawless Irene Addler; and Mark Strong as the villain was genius. The story was great, the effects were awesome, and the scenery was spot-on. 10/10.
