This is a terrific adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel. The period detail, costume and scenery are all spot-on, and the acting is good, especially among the principals. Generally, this television version is more faithful to the book, both in spirit and in plot, than the 1940 Hitchcock version with Laurence Oliver and Joan Fontaine.

Hey hotstuff do you know what "spoiler alert" means? If you don't like the film fair enough but don't ruin it for everyone else by telling the story because you make yourself sound stupid.

I think the 1940's version was way better. This was boring and uninteresting.

This is a classic. I love the part when I knew that Mr.DeWinter doesn't have to be convicted of murdering his wife after all. I wonder what did Rebecca's lover told the housekeeper? What made her so angry that she have to burn down the house? I think the housekeeper is a lesbian. She loved her madam so much that she can no longer live w/out her.Thanks, 8/10.
