I read the book as a child before i even knew the film existed. So glad its available here. A little masterpiece and a little bit of good old fashioned storytelling. 10/10 all day.

I was 9 years old when this came out and it really left an impression on me! It is a one of a kind classic. Anyone who hasnt seen it should make a point to and for those pple who just cant seem to watch the movies older than the 80s...Pity them...they sure miss out on alot!

This is an amazing and unique film! Made way back in the 60s, it's a one film that mixes both fairy tale and mythology into an old west setting. This is a very old and low-budget film, but it shines through as imaginative and emotional. We see the usual heart-warming citizens of Abalone, the isolated and dusty western town, mixing in with greatly played characters such as Medusa, Merlin the wizard and even Pan, the horned Greek god and many more. It's really good as it goes from 'family movie' to strange and deliberately spooky moments, even some scenes are highly poetic and deep. I can't stress enough how it's a must-see!
