A great movie, loved the eccentric parents and the crazy motel; no matter what others think we all should have dreams and stuff the haters. 9/10 for perfectly natural acting when people just wanted to have fun and were not like today, obsessed with making money.

I really enjoyed this movie, nice to get the story behind this important event. I got hooked right away and it kept me interested the whole time. I think it's good that the music was secondary to the story, there are several movies we can watch to get that. I didn't know anything about how the festival came about, it's quite an amazing story. The acting was very good and there were quite a few funny moments as well as touching scenes. I thought the rendering of the acid trip in the van and afterwards in front of the crowd at night was excellent, better than the ones I've seen in other movies, even as short as it was. Many characters are quite touching and memorable, Eliott, his vet friend , his transvestite "law enforcer" and his father as well as Max the farmer and the festival organizer on his horse... Thank you Eliott Tiber, Max Yagur(RIP) for providing the place to have the festival, it wouldn't have happened without you and thanx to Ang Lee the director for bringing this movie to us.

An account of how and why the original Woodstock festival came into being, this movie focuses on the efforts of the creator and the reaction of the people of his town. An interesting watch for those that are attracted to this era, although I was slightly disappointed by the soundtrack, which I felt could have been more dynamic. Good acting all round, with a shout out to Eugene Levy, who plays Max Yasgur, the farmer on whose land the festival took place. 3.5/5 Thank you uplinkers.

The acid trip is AWESOME! Really loved Liev Schreiber as a military veteran who offers security against extortioners... albeit in a very unique uniform. This is a wonderful look at actual events and persons who led to the Woodstock Festival changing locations amid local fears of "hippies." Demetri Martin is adorable and a believable actor, his crazy parents (Eugene Levy and British gem Imelda Staunton) are fantastic.

9.9/10 Such a feel great movie. Elliot Teichberg is my new hero; the anti-Tom Cruise;he played this perfectly. I watched this film every minute from start to finish. It never lost my interest. Liev Schreiber has a great look in this. Imelda Staunton like I have never seen her; lots of familiar faces, and a terrific and believable look at how Woodstock brought something different to each person involved. I will watch this again and again. Thank you uploader!! Peace and Love

Incredibly underrated movie. I usually need to take breaks in between watching 2-3 hr movies, but this one was TOO good to pass up for even a minute. I highly recommend watching both this one and the 1970 Woodstock Festival documentary, of strangers from all corners of the country coming together in 3 days of peace, love and music!

VERY enjoyable for those who love the music of that time. It focuses on the journey of making it rather than the actual event, leaving the bands and music behind in a sorta cloud of mystery. Points for the soundtrack too! I'M WASTED AND I CAN'T FIND MY WAY HOME! 3.5/5.

A coming of age or out story of a young man with the Woodstock music festival as the backdrop. The tone was set good The hippies were.. hippie-ish The start showed promise then took some strange turns The acid trip was pretty spot on from the recollection of recreational drug use, but the thing that was missing in the film was the heart of the event- Why and what drove hundreds of thousands of people to three days of peace, music and mud... my guess is L.S.D. and (naked) free love. Peace out=)

WHOA this is a trip. Starts slowly but im so glad it did, it kind of sneaks up on you and pulls some merry prankster shit :) and i think this movie has the most realistic vibe of what it is to take some super bomb L, at least at the beginning with the colors shining and the patterns kind of breathing and merging but staying the same.. That scene truly shows one small piece of the tripping experience, of course no media that physically exists could express the expanding infinity your consciousness stumbles accidentally upon. thought that scene was cool enough for my two cents. The Beatles had a song they pieced together on various acid trips id like to leave these words to those who trip/have tripped and have a mystical or spiritual experience. (I am he as you are he as you are me And we are all together!lollllllll just the first realization of many..) a must watch for me, might not be the case for some out there who arent down with the heady feel good get down but to each their own.
