Malpertuis: Malpertuis is a labyrinth where characters issued from the Greek mythology are made prisoners by Cassavius. He manages to keep them (as well as his nephew and niece) as prisoners even after his death, through a binding testament. As the nephew unravels the mystery, we find out he cannot escape the house because Malpertuis is far more significant than we were led to believe.

FINALLY found SUBS for this!!! [ .srt file, found at TPB.org; reposted here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VAT5E9CC. ]. Rewatched. Completely forgotten Orson Welles is in it. This is what late-night Channel4 was all about in the early days. Had me going WTF?!!, and A-ha!! throughout. Weird, absorbing and beautifully (in a slightly gay way ;-)) produced. Ultimately, perhaps, a tad pretentious.. but what the hell, I still loved it. (Someone should delete the spoiler/blurb above, btw. It will mess with Yr WTF experience ;-)). Enjoy!

I watched this on Channel 4, in 1982 I think, and it really blew me away. I'd love to see if it stands the test of time. Unfortunately, it's in Dutch , and there are no subtitles with this version :-( [Also, I think the above description MAY be a spoiler, but I can't be sure as I missed the beginning.]
