This is a great documentary on heavy metal music. If your looking for an insite into the heavy metal music lifestyle and genre, look no futher than here. It will also give you an insite into how the fans react to this form of music. I also know about this kind of music, I have been a fan for almost 20 years. Even if your not a fan of heavy metal, it's still worth a look.

Really good documentary. Sam knows his shit just like most fans that have listened to this genre since they were kids. He's right when it mentioned that fans usually become fans of metal for life. His description of the subgenres is debatable, but that where every fans opinions come in and differ. Regardless the music is good. Theres not much better than being a fan and member of the culture. Best brotherhood of people you meet. Good job at trying to dispel some of the stereotypes. I gotta pick up a copy of this dvd. 10/10 m/

Excellent documentary on Heavy Metal! I've been a metal fan for longer than most posters here have been alive! Sam Dunn has done a major service to and for all music fans, even if I don't really agree with his "breakdown" of styles. Particularly recommended to people who just "don't get" heavy metal!
