This is a great little movie. Not what you'd expect. A little bit weird. But an interesting story, some exceptional acting, and characters that draw you in to their lives. I would highly recommend it.

This is a film that tore at my emotions. A very good acting and directing job from the 2 main stars. You Have to watch it to understand it.. Definately a must watch film. The human mind can be such a dark place...5/5

totally unexpected. its a drama, about mental illness. very good.I must say a vast difference between movies of present seeming only of special effects and scare ,awe, surprises ,gore, crudeness or some form of craziness to keep your attention for fifteen minutes, but never a deep meaningful emotion felt story. bravo

Very very good. Not many can pull of roles like this, it was moving to see a man's journey. I think it's a good message, even as we get older we have to continue to find ourselves.

It's not a joke. He legitimately liked the role he was to portray and Jodie Foster is a close personal friend. And don't call me Shirley.

Okay, before people start saying hand puppet, film must be a joke, i gotta defend it and say watched it at cinema, definitely worth the money, one of Gibsons best performances, id go as far as saying oscar worthy + Jodie foster does good job directing and starring. This is not a comedy. Starts of light hearted but gets deeper and darker as the plot progresses. DEFO WORTH THE WATCH

Very hard to get film makers and actors to portray an emotion so articulately well on screen through a story, let alone a whole array of emotions. This movie is simply in one word.....Brilliant.Excellent job with Jodie Foster's direction to Mel Gibson's work.A must watch emotional roller coaster ride.10/10

If only Mel Gibson would truly dig that deep within himself. Not only did I come away with some better understanding of dysfunction, I hope and pray for Mel , that this was a healing experience for him as well. A movie worth watching on many levels.

This flick is very peculiar and at times annoyingly painful. Jodie Foster's meditated view on depression, captured it's essence in a way most of us has never seen. And Mel Gibson's outstanding performance made it quite believable that mental illness is not something to be taken lightly. My reservations about Mel Gibson had to be put to the side, in order to see the true value of this film. All of the actors are great and Foster's direction proved it to be so.... the film engages in honesty and although uncanny, it's warm and charming. O_o

Whoa.. I had no idea this movie was going to be so good. I mean I thought it was going to be something super lame. I WAS SO WRONG, this was most deff well thought out and the whole moral was great. I loved it. Mel's acting was awesome.

Loved this movie! Jodie Foster is excellent as always, and I have always thoroughly enjoyed Mel Gibson movies! Depression and mental illness in families is a topic we don't often see portrayed in such a touching way!
