5/5 Well-done biography. Interesting film. Beautiful. Should have had more poetry recitations in it, though, to see what all the fuss is about.

How can you make a film about Rimbaud not effused with his poetry? Not a fav screenplay. 4/10

Like. Good movie to know better the relationship between Verlaine & Rimbaud. I remember I watched some years ago & liked it but never realized that di Caprio was playing Rimbaud excellently. If you like poetry, this is obviously a must seen. 8/10

very disturbing movie, good cinematography, great location shots, as usual the man vs his work are 2 different things. Those who believe that Rimbaud was a genius of poetic phrases in his time and beyond, is no more than another frail egocentric human. There are no genius's in there chosen fields, only those who run contrary to all widely held public opinions of there time.

Not that great. The acting was pretty good. But it was a little disturbing. The storyline was odd. But the acting was good. If you like Leonardo DiCaprio then it is worth seeing.

I found some of this material to be disturbing. However, having said this there was a strong development of the characters; the sets, locations were interesting; cinematography, well done (a bit heavy on the sepia but .. ), the score was ok. I wouldn't watch it a second time for any reason. I give it a 2 out of 5 which is a remarkably low score from me.

Ok sweeties, watch your "fabulous" American movies that nowadays filmmakers puke over you in the cinemas.I wish you`d ever get the point of this one, which is not about the very life of Rimbaud,he is just used as a symbol of the genious writer, losing himself in his own world and later on in his ego.In fact, you can never make a movie about somebody`s life. You can just try to recreate it in a way that makes people see the world through someone else`s eyes.In this way-hostile,magical,fake.You would need some imagination.:)
