San Francisco is my Favorite city in the world. But I was astonished with my first visit to the city as a young teen to find Suicide notices, a barrak to prevent people from jumping and phones on the bridge warning people. I myself have contemplated suicide but have seeked help. In a way if I lived in the city during my dark period, I may have used Golden Gate bridge. This Documentary is thought provoking. A must watch!!! Add me if you want to talk.

Weird how shocked you are the first clip you see of someone jumping but after a dozen clips you aren't shocked anymore..

I liked the documentary. It was very informational about the brutal facts of this subject matter. It happens, people do this and it's ok and even beneficial to talk about it. Maybe it will help someone who's thinking about it or someones family to take the warning signs seriously.(A warning, I'm about to say some ''spoilers'' even though we all know what happens just by the subject) Also I was really just in awe about how callous and oblivious some people can be toward their fellow humans. Like the German lady who sees this guy weeping on the bridge as he's about to jump, and comes to ask him if he will take her picture. Or the ''friend'' of one gentleman who had a conversation with him where he said that he was thinking about killing himself and had a few different ideas on how he wanted to do it. He then says he didn't want to be alone and asks if he can hang out with her for a while, and she just says no because she ''kinda wanted to be by herself'', and never saw him again. I just don't understand the level of mindlessness in some people at the most crucial of times.

Very emotional and insightful - wish there was something that could be done for them to prevent them from jumping.

It's hard to believe that I watched REAL people jumping off the bridge! I've become so habituated to stunts, in films, that it's hard to believe my very own eyes. It is really quite a tragic documentary, but one that needed telling and certainly bearing witness to. I'd like to think they're in a better place and free of this mortal coil, but if you believe in a spirit, are they still suffering, on an emotional level? It's too much to bear thinking about for long. I just hope that those they've left behind aren't suffering too much. 5/5

Great documentary. I'm a little shocked and confused when I just watch people plainly jump off the bridge to their deaths as if nothing happened, who was the camera person, do they just film people on the bridge and wait to see if they jump. Very intense, almost a blanket of disbelief and is this really happening.

This doc isn't for everyone, disturbing yet guiltily fascinating and very sad.

Very sad documentary. I wonder how many survive with horrible debilitating injuries. That would depress me even more, to have to live the rest of my life incapacitated. 9/10

WARNING! SENSITIVE VIEWERS BEWARE, some footage is very hard to bare witness to. Such a sad fact that there are people who consider this or have done it, just the sheer thought is very saddening, yet i think it is of vital necessity that we speak about it, since the suicide rate is hitting higher ;(. what is the source to all of this hopelessness & sadness? what drives ppl to the extent of not finding any way out of the darkness? To those who have friends or family members who show signs of depression, i'd suggest you to solemnly wholeheartedly try to understand them, be there for them, be supportive and lend them your shoulder, instead of judging or sweeping the problems under the rug which may trouble them. After this documentary it seems we will never know a person fully, maybe if they find trust in us & can relate to maybe then will they truly open their hearts and let us into their world, how they view the world. I don't think anyone truly wanted to end their lives, in most cases i think it was a cry for help, but no one payed much attention or cared enough on their criterions. Sometimes all that is ever required or what ppl only want to hear is a simple: "Everything will be alright".

Vidzi and Vid.ag are The Bridge 2006 - documentary about suicide on the Golden Gate bridge. The rest of the links are The Bridge 1959 which is, as stated below, a German black and white movie.

This is an American 1959 nazi propaganda flick......Weird but interesting at the same time....Black and white ( obviously!)and it's in German with Eng. subs, I'm not accustomed to hardcore propaganda, Ok we got Hollywood but this was right different. I can't even say how good this was cause I've never seen anything quite like this.. I don't get the prior comments about people jumping off some bridge, unless I'm really from Mars this movie isn't about people lunging off some bridge...Weird...

Very hard hitting documentary on the subject of suicide. I don't understand why people kill themselves. I understand they are in pain, but to then pass that pain on to their loved ones, that I don't get. Anyway, hard to watch but a small insight into what suicide does.

The real Tragedy about the doings of these Suicidal A..holes is that how many good People's lives did they Messed up.Their Friends and Family members have to live blaming themselves for the rest of their lives not knowing if they committed Suicide because they didn't helped them enough. So if anyone out there plans to commit Suicide THINK AGAIN!!!!Because u will be dead but You'll mess up your friend's and your loved one's lives as long as they will live.Good movie 4 of 5 stars
