this is the most powerful story I ever watched. Maybe not ever but it is up there. This really is the story about the life of the violin and with each hand that owns the violin there is a beautiful story. Makes you wonder about the history of old this we or our family own. Beautiful. 10/10

Simply an amazing film. This will touch all music lovers. Especially an instrumentalist. I am off to search second hand music shops;) Excellent direction, writing, and cast. 10/10!

very nice film. I especially love the historical aspect of the movie. I think my favorite is the poussin and weiss portion of the film. It was nice to hear the dialogue interchanging from german to french and back and forth. :D

Just saw this on IFC. Beautiful cinematography, multicultural dialogue, haunting music and a seamlessly interwoven plot that shifts forward and back with a magician's touch. 5/5
