Well that was an unexpected gem of a movie!! Certainly wasn't expecting the story to end the way it did which I always love. Made for a very entertaining story. Great cast of characters, not sure how I missed it when it came out as I enjoy most of the cast in other performances. Colin Farrell's accent may not have been totally perfect but put it this way - it was a hell of a lot better than most American actors trying an Irish accent!! (I exclude Brad Pitt who did the best Irish traveller accent I have ever heard!!) Very watchable, 10/10 from me as the ending was so brilliant

This film was brimming with potential, an adept cast, some stylish directing and gritty yet beautiful set locations. However some of the story & the actions taken by its characters were implausible, and most of its ideas didn't develop effectively on screen.

I loved this film. Brilliant cast and believable story. What I would a bit of a slow-burning film, but good ending. Had to listen to on the headphones, as couldn't get volume high enough to hear it, but apart from that, well worth a watch. 8/10

Good limey flick. Hardnose british gangster stuff. Hard to come by these days. Winstone is always brilliant and Ferrel was seriously good. Memorable points in the movie too. Right of passage scene and this one...1:28:02. enjoy

I don't quite see what other people are complaining about. It wasn't a particularly fast paced flick, true, but that's fine by me. Solid British gangster film, not too much overplaying of the typical gangsters over here. Nice, simple, and definitely worth a watch.

VEry good British Gangster film. If you don't like it, you're probably not British and want loads of not believable stunts and special effects.
