Wow. This movie was so well put together and sends you on an emotional roller coaster. It really took a deep look into anger, from two ends of the spectrum, all the while delivers you to human nature and its boundaries. Well written, directed, and acted. I would love to see the Oscars give praise to this movie and the message it promotes so beautifully placed on a platter. 10/10.

No doubt this film is going to recieve polarizing reviews. If you're a fan of similar work (Dead Man's Shoes; This is England; Nil By Mouth), then you'll enjoy this debut directed by actor Paddy Considine (his first feature film). I found it difficult viewing, some scenes were horrifying. Violence, rage, desperation and the misery of the midlands. Peter Mullan was fantastic, as was Olivia Colman. It's going into my favourites, I'll be watching it again. Despite the darkness of it, it's ultimately a story of love in the unlikeliest places. 8/10 from me.

Disturbing, powerful and moving. An absolutely amazing film taking a deep, raw look at human nature, the good, the bad and the truely ugly. I would Definately recommend this, but only if you enjoy hard hitting, gritty Brit drama. It's not something that will appeal to the masses, but on a personal level this film moved me beyond words. Outstanding and a 10/10.

My worst nightmares are some people's reality. This was an astonishing film. I of course felt sympathy for Hannah, but also for Joseph. Hard to watch, but I'm glad I did.

An absolute powerful, gripping piece of drama from the great Paddy Considine also his directorial debut, cant wait to see what he delivers in the future. So glad that I stumbled across this gem of a movie , the directorial debut of Paddy Considine who also wrote the script. It is an accomplished, visceral piece of work with epic acting performances all round. One of the finest movies that I have seen in a long time 9/10.

An uncompromising film indeed ! I have known that Olivia Colman is a fine actress since I saw her in "EXILE", but she really is terrific in this film. Hard to believe she wasn't even nominated for a BAFTA last year...

This is really one of the more brilliant and moving films in many years. A mature film with zero instant gratification. Really almost no gratification at all other than a really well done and timely character study. If any film can get away with being good just on "character study" alone, it is this. If that is not for you, don't watch it.

This movie is a masterpiece. It is so powerful and touching. By far the best film of 2011. The performances were amazing. There were some hard parts to watch. This movie is brilliant though! It has a very realistic feel to it also, which I really liked. This is a MUST SEE!

Now that is what we Brits call a gritty drama, its a powerful and sad portrayal. Olivia Coleman has certainly come a long way since playing ditzy Sophie in Peepshow, she is brilliant in this and it deserves a 9/10 ...but beware you have to be in the mood for this film ...I think now i will have to watch Clueless the movie, as an antidote to reset my balance.

It could not have been said any better than it was in an earlier post. This movie is, quite simply, a masterpiece. It reminded me of 'Animal Kingdom' in the way that the actors took on their characters and portrayed them so well. Tyrannosaur is such a good film! 9.5/10

I loved this movie, because it was about pain. Women all around this world are married in situations like these. Western sensibilities make us want to shut these films out, but that's because we want everything to be happy christian goodness - with two scoops of raisins in every bite. In case you missed it: this movie is saying money doesn't buy happiness only the illusion. And, poor people with hardships and nothing to offer can turn out to be the most important you know. And that, women children, and animals are often the targets of abusive men. You should see this film because it's not going to go the way you want it too.
