A very serious deep cartoon about loneliness. I really like it. Everybody should watch "Mary and Max" - this weird, strange but painful story.

So sad. If you are on medication make sure you take it BEFORE you watch this film. I didn't so excuse while I draw the bath and prepare the toaster.

this film is pretty intense! such a mix of emotions! deals with alot of sensitive issues to do with lonliness etc and was sad and a bit depressing. but it was also funny and had a feel-good ending. loved the animation and the way it was shot, use of colours etc. 4/5

A really good film, beautiful, brilliant. I just enjoy films that have some significance to life. You know observation, and art. This film has that, it's wonderful, and claymation come on, how could you lose. A film like this is $9.99 I recommend them both :)

This is truly a beautiful film. I love it when Max picked out the little heart candy that said "love yourself first." That was deep.

I loved how they approached this, very sad but very humorous all the same. One of my favorites for sure. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something profound to watch.

Pretty unique and original film. Loved the animation, and the plot was great! This is definitly not a kids movie, it\'s very dark and can be a little depressing. A lot of the subjects are very intense. I highly recommend this!

I decided to watch this not knowing what to expect, but it was truly amazing and unique. I loved the quirky animation and the story, I don't know what else to say! It's like nothing I have ever seen before.

A 20- year, long distance, pen-pal friendship between Mary and Max. This film explores alcoholism, where babies come from, suicide, obesity, kleptomania, trust, copulating dogs, agoraphobia, mental disability and most of all the desire for acceptance and love. Don't we all need a friend? Unfailingly SWEET.
