Your guess is as good as ours! Filmed on location in Thailand, the Himalayas, British Columbia, Yosemite Valley and even the mean streets of Hollywood, "First Ascent" is the benchmark for quality and excitement in extreme sports filmmaking.

I loved this when I finally got to see it. Makes me want to throw the gear in the car and head for Squamish. If you love climbing, or exhilarating sports in general, give this one a watch. If documentaries don't do it for you, maybe go check out K2 or The Eiger Sanction instead.

good climbing Documentary, you have to be a rock climber to appreciate it, or at least a climbing enthusiast. I lived in Squamish for years and spent a lot of time on the Chief.
