Faith of Our Fathers: Faith of Our Fathers follows a cynical stranger who gives a lesson in capitalism's brutal nature to a naive young man lost at the bottom of the American dream. Shot in black and white and color, and beginning with an artist/interviewer whose authorship of the narrative vies with that of the young man, we watch as an ever-increasing distance is revealed between dreams and truth, spiritual innocence and manipulative propaganda. Moving alongside this darkness is the life of art. The artist/interviewer questions the status quo and his search reveals not only the listless mandate of our faith, but the reflection and creativity to overcome it.
