I have not seen this movie until now, so I was quite late ;-) Of course I loved Batman with Keaton and Jacko from 1989(8.9/10),which I saw many years ago. Rebooted Batman Begins(2005)(9.5/10) and other two later parts, undoubtedly saved franchise as all three are really good movies! Batman Forever is not nearly good as masterpiece Batman Begins, and also far from Batman (1989)! Still, when started watching I could not stop and re-watched many scenes, specially ones with Jim Carey who was so good that he almost saved movie. Val as Batman is truly likeable and he did good job. All in all I enjoyed this movie which seriously lacks quality of mentioned movies but is still very well made innocent and enjoyable entertainment ! 7/10

If they ever do another new installment of batman i would love to see jim carrey as riddler again but with a bit of a more serious approach to it. He cannot be replaced as riddler in my mind.=) batman forever and batman and robin are my two fave old batman movies. i love the new trilogy though. Wish they were going to make more.

Blah! This is such a let down compared to Batman and Batman Returns! It's worth a one time watch and THAT'S IT! 3/5

I can't even picture the producers' meeting where someone decided to make a feature film far more cartoony than the actual cartoon that was running at the time - Batman:TAS which had a noir tone inspired by Burton's gothic vision and old detective films. This was the first Batman movie I saw and, as a kid I loved it (I only found out about Burton as a teenager). Now, I don't enjoy it as much but I still think it has its moments: opening scene, pretty much every scene with jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman and the discussions about Bruce/Batman duality...Anyways, if you think of it as a kids movie, it's not that bad. PS: What's with TwoFace playing The Joker?

Everything in this movie is tedious. The bad jokes, the terrible one liners, and the idiotic villains make this one of the worst Batman movies I've ever seen, including the animated ones. They complained about Tim Burton directing the films because he wasn't a fan of Batman and now they're stuck with this. I hope they're happy.

"Holy Rusted Metal Batman"!! This one is by far the most in tune with the corny 60s batman & robin TV show. All the jokes & everything. All they needed was the pop ups & the sound effects when they hit someone.. But I always enjoy it. Makes me laugh every time, its just so corny.. lol

People want to give this movie so much shit. It was made almost 20 years ago!!! Give it a break! It was doing the the 90's exactly what the new batman movies are doing now. I still enjoy watching it now and then, takes me back.

I for one really liked all the colors of Gotham in this one. The city was really lit up and a treat to look at.

Saw this movie as a kid and hated it. And nothing has changed Carey was a total idiot doing what Care does best. The Riddler was a criminal Genius not some clown prancing around. This is the hugest crapfest in the world. Batman has undergone many evolutions since 1939 and this was never one of them. Just another example of tons of comicbook story-lines lines to choose from and somehow we still can't make a good movie.

i consider this movie as a guilty pleasure. I may have hated this movie at some points but the over-the-top scenes and even the acting of Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones are actually enjoyable. It's not as bad as i thought but it's not bad for me 6/10

As a huge Batman fan, it hurts to say that I can see why I liked this so much more when I was a kid. It's cheesy like the old Adam West TV series, but I DO NOT blame Schumacher, he has admitted that his movie disappointed fans of darker Batman adaptations, saying that the film was made intentionally marketable (or "toyetic") and kid-friendly. He claims to have been under heavy pressure from the studio to do so; however, he admits full responsibility and, even apologizes to any fans who were disappointed.
