Give this a go. Made in 2008 you can now see the result of it's predictions. The sci-fi format is a fun way of explaining our Lemming like rush to the sea...

We are killing our home and not caring what happens in the future. We always replace items that could be fixed or recycled, using the earths resources without thinking of what its doing to the enviroment or to others. I could say more but whats the point, We get whatever happens to us.

I recommend this documentary to EVERYONE! 10/10 Whatever your personal views on the cause(s) of global warming you should watch this documentary. For me, even without the basic message that we must do whatever we can to reduce the man-made emissions being released into our atmosphere there are many other terrible wrongs being perpetrated against humanity by the greed of the oil industry. I am selfishly thankful that I was luckily born in the USA where as yet we have been pretty isolated from the worst of the atrocities, if you overlook the two wars and the loss of loved ones caused by manufactured propaganda. I do not understand the logic of the small group of very powerful corporations to continue to believe that the riches they are amassing will be of any use to them when the planet becomes very hostile to humankind. A world built on Consumerism will not survive without the consumer population and you cannot stop extreme natural disasters by writing a check. Think people - THINK!

Agreed with 0110. The dissemination of information regarding our global ecological context has created a public discussion full of ignorance or avoidance. However, this is not to be unforseen if we analyze the framing of this topic. What happens if we don't do something in the next 7 years? Common answers are: ecological resources (e.g. food, air, water, etc.) will become increasingly scarce, human beings will suffer losses because the planet shifts, the human species will die out in a disasterous famine, epidemic, or some other such atrocity. Now lets look what are we to do to change our so called ecological fate? There are several proposals that have been put forward: alternative energy, sustainable farming practices, water watches, ecological transportaion taxes. However, all of these ideas are vigorously debated amongst scientists, politicians, and the public. Then again, lets step back and see if there are any commonalities, patterns in the ways in which these ideas (good and bad) are discussed and disseminated publicly. To me, these aspects show one very distinct pattern, which is fear and suffering. On behalf of the 'not doing anything' scenario, we have evident fear and suffering; some of which is said to be inevitable even if we change patterns. On behalf of the 'how do we change our fate', there is a more subtle fear. Change is difficult at the micro level. Think about how hard it is for someone to change a habit or routine. I've tried (and needed) to change several things in my lifetime and none of them were easy. Try giving up all forms of fossil fuel powered transportaion for a year. Now imagine trying to change something at the macro level, such as the global ecology. Thats enormous! Therefore, the framing of this topic has been put to the public in such a way as to retain the fear associated with either outcomes of change or not. Why? That's an answer for you to come up with on your own through reflection and discussion. For me, its to keep the public buying things. Our problems, smallest or micro to biggest or global, stem from the monetary economic system that currently creates a systematic competition amongst the affluent and poor alike that is intended to keep one thing true...Money Rules The World. What will you do?

How about because we r still misled on global warming" cause it isnt actually proven , our planet goes through ice ages and warmings" and always will over many centuries and through sudden shock events" and the so called scientists get told what too say anyway after the governments decide what too do and what too say to us" ,as always" .
