Powerful performance by Woods aside, the message of the movie comes out loud and clear...society turns people into monsters, given the right chances....not one of the best in this genre but honest enough to hold my attention...3/5.

one of the best movie with a strong message that society creates criminals, they are doing their jobs what we have assigned them. 10/10

James Woods is great aThis is no Shawshank Redemtion happy ending. Even though most men loved that movie as did women. I find more men would be more interested in it in my opinion. I'm not sure it's teaching a lession to society. What you reap you sew.

This is an amazing true story that took over 40 years to surface, I don't think theres any other film that originated in such a way. Woods does an excellent job playing Carl and the movie serves two purposes, one is entertainment, the other is teaching a lesson to society. It succeeds in both very well. 5/5.

I know a lot of people like and admire James Woods as an actor but I personally have always found him very hammy. I couldn't really take his character seriously because all I saw was a large ham on my screen overacting . Carl Panzram made Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer look like angelic boy scouts but I felt this film didn't capture that at all. Carl Panzram The Spirit of Hatred and Revenge is a far superior documentary film about this man in my opinion

I think there is another film out there that focuses on the rape. For some reason that is controversial. This is a fairly slow film but not bad.

I can't believe I sat through this movie. It had to be a straight to vidio film, I can't see it ever hitting the theaters. I like James Woods, but the script was full of cheesey cliches and it was way over acted. And Oliver Stone put his name on this next to Aaron Spelling? Was I supposed to feel sorry for this guy? Waste of time.
