Waco The Rules of Engagement: This controversial documentary about the stand-off between an unorthodox Christian group - the Branch Davidians, under the leadership of the young, charismatic David Koresh - and the FBI and ATF in Waco, Texas, from February to April 1993 presents a different spin on the events from that of the United States government, which held that the Branch Davidians set the fire that destroyed their compound, and killed the vast majority of them, on April 19, 1993. Using footage from the 51 day siege, from the congressional hearings afterwards, from people involved in all aspects of the siege, and from experts technical, psychological, and religious, the movie suggests that the Branch Davidians were not a cult, but a valid religious group practicing under First Amendment freedoms who fell victim to first the ineptitude of an ATF raid designed to garner the agency positive attention and later the cruel, methodical work of the FBI, who over-saw the murder of the Davidians and then quickly covered it up.

This same government is still saying "Trust Us". At least the hearings got at the truth and how our government can and still does lie to cover their own ass.

Yes the Government won the case and were cleared of any wrong doing! They basically got away with publicly burning to death 70 to 80 innocent people, and also trying to cover it up. Am i surprised ? Not in the slightest! I have seen the American government for what they really are for many years.

What a tragedy I don't see how people looking for a purpose feel it can be found when you give up self. The government oh well no surprise.

Posse Commitatatus (sp) is a law supposed to protect us (its citizens) from the unlawful use of those troops against the people. Law passed in June 18,1878. Wha happened? Whaz happening?

One of my top five of all time best documentary films and the only one I've seen three times. I witnessed these events on TV and completely bought the story I was being fed. I watch it every coupe of years to remind myself how easy it is for the government with a complacent media (like we have today) can fashion a narrative that can be accepted as fact.

This was an awesome documentary. I was 12 or 13 when this happened and remember seeing it on the news, but never had a full understanding of it. It is so sad the world we live in today. I have a new respect for David Koresh.

VERY DISTURBING, 20 years later the truth is revealed! NOW before the 50 YEAR sealed report on the 911 commission is opened to the tax payers, those involved (as well as myself) will be dead! So much for accountability! 10/10
