It is true one could learn from history, but ironic that it is never so. Anne Frank is a memory, how human life could be wasted by the misguided ideas of a few and the irresponsible acceptance of it by many. Its is a very good watch, especially for young people.

Also, Lazlo Biro patented his first ballpoint pen in 1938 in Paris, which is not that far from Amsterdam. What we don't know is the relationship between the Biros and the Franks since both families were Jewish. It's conceivable the Franks acquired one of the Biro's early prototypes of the ballpoint pen.

In 1986 the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation conducted an extensive forensic examination of the manuscript and found that the material composition, and the ink were available at the time the composition was written. Moreover, the handwriting matches other handwriting samples from Anne Frank. The diary however, as were several diaries of that era, was edited posthumously, allowing for errors in logic and details. Additionally, if the manuscript was written in ballpoint pen that does not prove it was written later. Patents for ballpoint pens have existed since the 1880s. Notably, two Germans [the Biro brothers] fleeing Nazi occupied Germany started the Biro Pens of Argentina which specialized in ballpoint pens. So while unusual it would not have been impossible for Anne Frank to have written the manuscripts with a ballpoint pen. Also, Meyer Levin attempted to adapt the diary to a screenplay in the 1950s that was rejected by Otto Frank. However, a more successful adaption borrowed from his writings. While lawyers refuse to discuss the case, that is most likely what the $50,000 payment is for. Lastly, this hoax theory has been spread primarily from Holocaust deniers who have failed to prove their case. For now, the diary is still considered authentic. One should not rely on Holocaust deniers for their historical facts.
