Wow, very original and beautifully done tragic love story. Guaranteed you will be humming 'la vie en rose' for a few days afterwards. Highly recommended - it will touch you and make you smile, laugh and perhaps shed a few tears. Sit back and enjoy!

Pure, raw, explosive pleasure! Better than drugs, better than smack! Better than a dope-coke-crack-fix-shit-shoot-sniff-ganja-marijuana-blotter-acid-ecstasy! Better than sex, head, 69, orgies, masturbation, tantrism, Kama Sutra or Thai doggy-style! Better than banana milkshakes! Better than George Lucas's trilogy, the muppets and 2001! Better than Emma Peel, Marilyn, Lara Croft and Cindy Crawford's beauty mark! Better than the B-side to Abbey Road, Jimmy Hendrix and the first man on the moon! Space Mountain, Santa Claus, Bill Gates' fortune, the Dalai Lama, Lazarus raised from the dead! Schwarzenegger's testosterone shots, Pam Anderson's lips! Woodstock, raves... Better than Sade, Rimbaud, Morrison and Castaneda! Better than freedom, better than life!

this is not the type of movie i'd normally watch but it was recommended by a friend and i was not let down. not your typical romantic love story to say the least. its filled with laughs, pain, sorrow and passion beyond words. original story coupled with great acting and beautiful cinematography. definitely worth a watch. 4/5

I saw this movie two days ago and it got in my head. I just couldn't figure out how I felt about it. I didn't understand. That's not what love is about. Is it? I just kept getting haunted by that last scene and wondering why... Then I think I understood: they would be together forever, happy. Their love was then perfect.

In the beginning the movie was charming light comedy about neighbor kids who constantly play the game of dare. As they age into adulthood, it comes off more as petulant self-indulgence. As children the pair were delightful as adults they're intolerably immature. The movie had so much potential but fell apart.

This might be by favorite romance of all time, too... I saw it a few days ago and rushed to buy the dvd. I've been watching it every night since. Their love is so wild and dangerous and cruel<3 It's comforting, in a weird way.

Sockshare? Anyway,I've watched it months before...lovely film. Definitely underrated. It's extremely cute. Marion/Guillaume have tons of chemistry, storyline is awesome & some moments are pretty damn surprises/unexpected...once you start watching it you can't take your eyes off it,that's for sure. I highly recommend it to everyone. Should be one of my currently fave ones.

I loved the beginning when they were children. As the movie progressed I began to dislike the couple, especially Sophie. And the ending was just ridiculous and stupid. Like why would they do that? He had children who needed a father. They grew up to be selfish idiots who deserve each other.
