Greatest performance by an actress ever captured on film. Brando gets most of the attention from critics and while it's impossible to overstate the impact his Stanley had on acting, it is Vivien Leigh whose performance is timeless and perfect. Alex North also shines with one of his best original scores. I wish people would stop trying to remake this; it's a fool's errand as they will always fall far short of Leigh and Brando's iconic portrayals. IMHO this is Kazan's finest film.

A very complicated story, story which makes your flesh creep and your brains think, a very serious movie about woman and how she failed. Just she and world. Vivien Leight is an awesome actress. She was unforgettable.

I watch this movie several times a year. Brando is at his arrogant, street-wise best and Vivian Leigh is perfect, in her burgeois role opposite him. I really admire the work put into her dialogue as most of it is memorable.

Wow Marlon Brando was the bomb. Great actor and very handsome. Also had one of my favorite actresses of all time Vivien Leigh. Very good drama. 10/10.

This is one of my all time favorites! I can watch this movie a million times and it never gets old. The acting is top notch on all parts and the plot by Tennessee Williams is equally outstanding. Brando was born to play the part of Stanly. This flick is highly recomended! 10/10!

as a first time watcher i was pleasantly surprised even with high expectations going in! brando is so boss and the whole movie is really well done. BTW did anyone notice how blue jasmine is pretty much like a weaker remake of this story?

Marlon Brando at his youth and striking as hell. This is a must see for theater majors for it's an awesome playwright! I admire the works of Tennessee Williams and this is a brilliant film to watch. This truly never gets old. 10 plus.

Great acting in a great movie! Marlon Brando drunkard and struggling to get through life and constantly in conflict with his wife - Vivien Leigh, a truly sensational film with two of the greatest performances I've ever seen on film, great work in every aspect of it

My all time favourite playwright, and between them, Kazan, Brando and Leigh take all the blood, sweat and tears of Williams' text and create one of the most exhilarating films of the post-war era. A must see. 5/5

This is the dirtiest film I've ever seen. Not content wise, just the overall feeling of it
