This is an amazing show. While it is a show that focuses on homosexuality it contains so much more than that. It's a show about life. It taught me so much about love, values, morals, relationships, people and myself. The characters are well played, relatable and I don't think there's one I don't love. While people might prefer the UK version for their own reasons this will always be one of my favorite shows ever.

There will literally be nothing like this in the future that is for sure, it's five series of pure emotion and adrenaline, I'd love it to return but it's doubtful and impossible that it will make a comeback... so just enjoy five series of greatness you'll not regret it.

Just watched the last episode and loved it. It was a really great series. I think now that its been 5 years, they should restart the show and come up with some new episodes.

I watched this show when it first came out. Its hot hot hot! No matter what your preference is. Story line is edgy, risky, and you will fall for one of these characters.

I watched it long time ago, and now I'm watching the whole thing again, as a gay person I related to it in many ways... especially the part where they show the hate that straight people bare for gay people because, from where I'm from they kill gay people, all the characters are great actors, the storyline is brave and handles some of the most common problems in he gay community.

I feel so sad now that this is over, even though it didnt end the way I wanted it to, but I guess that's the good thing bout it, it's not predictable.

I actually have this entire series on DVD and just finished watching the whole thing again for what has to be close to a dozen times now. As groundbreaking, provocative, and graphic as this series was when it first aired 15 years ago, despite the extraordinary advances in gay rights since then, much of the story-lines are still extremely relevant today. I wanted to write this review for all of those that either didn't see it when it originally aired or were too young at the time to watch the series. This really was and still is THE series that really showcased the hardships and joys of being gay and truly covered every corner of gay life from coming out, fighting for acceptance, and the hard truths about HIV/AIDS that is still so prevalent today. The story-lines are exceptionally well written, the characters are brilliant, and the performances by the actors are still some of the best you'll ever see in any genre. Overall this series is definitely one I will always suggest people watch, especially those who are struggling with accepting who they are and their place in the world. NOTE: There's also a UK version of the series that was developed and aired first which is also equally brilliant in it's own merits, but the story-lines were never fleshed out nearly as much as they were in the US version, and the UK version only ran for two series (what we call seasons in the US)

Ground breaking series. The original was shot in England but it never made it like it did here. But FYI while sex is a large part of gay life. Nobody has the energy to screw around as much as they guys. As if.

I finally watched this show and it's simply one of the most AMAZING shows to have ever been written. If you have not seen it then I suggest you get started because it has one of the the greatest love story's ever written and you will cry at the end but you will also be very happy with where they took these characters at the end as well. They will become a part of your family or you will become apart of theirs and they will live on in your heart forever.
