I can see why this one has become a horror classic... well, it is obviously some grandfather of serial killer movies! I liked everything except for Jamie Lee Curtis' voice when she was scared, which truly annoyed me. I'm finding that many 70s/80s actresses are presented in this annoying way! Michael is now one of my favourite movie villains, though! 4 stars

This is my favorite horror movie of all time.John Carpenter directed, wrote and composed the music for this movie. It's his masterpiece.Michael Myers is so calm, so austere. He never runs after his victims. That's why he's so cool and such a badass. 10/10

This is one of my favorite all-time horror films. I'm not easily scared, but this movie never fails to give me the creeps. John Carpenter was brilliant with this film, in my opinion. No remake will ever top it.

Nothing like the original. I've only seen this a hundred times, and continue to watch every October. Great soundtrack.

One of John Carpenters absolute classics, this is a cautionary tale to all teenagers,if we pay you to look after our kids it's so that we can go and get shitfaced not so that you can get laid, you have been warned.......Michael Myers, keeping babysitters out of our beds since 1978.

Great movie. I actually like Rob Zombies better. I think they're more what horror is suppose to be. This one's totally worth a watch though. Still an amazing movie. Really original. It can be slow, especially in the beginning, but you'll be glad you watched it.

all the halloween series were great, even rob zombies... BTW he didnt ''rape'' them, it was done as an homage to John Carpenter. its not like he took it without permission. silly!!!! jamie lee curtis is the best! its too bad they did what they did in the 2002 halloween resurrection one, where jamie is on the cover, but is only in the movie for like 2 minutes! =( anyway, ya, this version, 10/10

John Carpenter (the director of this film) inspired me because he made the film his style. For instance, John Carpenter directed, Produced, composed,a wrote it with Debra Hill( John Carpenter's wife that past away IN 2005.) Moreover, John Carpenter neglected making more "HALLOWEEN" movies after part 1. True story.

Halloween is the best horror movie of all time. There's nothing like this classic. The horror is implied and effective. Today's horror movies use too much fake gore and special effects. I enjoy this every time I watch it and I'm glad it's available on Halloween. Thanks!

I agree when it come to horror films the new generation horror can't compare to the old classics like Halloween and many more.
