the best pride and prejudice ever made - the movie with Kira Nigthly cant hold a candle to this one, and like someone correctly stated below ... - Colin IS the only Mr Darcy

I can't help the huge grin that comes over me in every episode. Definitely my favourite romance mini-series of all times!

What a lovely adaptation of a wonderful novel by a spectacular author. I love the mini-series because it gives room for so much more character development than a regular 90 minute movie. I could not get enough of these episodes. You slowly watch this brilliant love story unfold before your eyes and fall in love and bond with these characters. I am an Austen fan and this series is simply lovely, a gem for sure. 10/10

I have added megavideo links for every episode; they should be up soon =) I also found a bonus feature, "the making of", that I added as well!

Here we go again.. i'm watching this for the 1000th time, all 6 lovely long hours of my favourite adaptation of Jane Austens best novel.... on my lazy sunday afternoon. Colin Firth is the best Darcy and Jennifer Ehle is perfect too. this is by far the best as it gets to the real heart of the story without rushing or missing parts out.. if you have not seen it watch it. its the best. BBC at its finest..now time for popcorn and putting my feet up with a box of tissues...ENJOY

I like Colin Firth as Darcy and I really like Jennifer Ehle (who play Elizabeth) other than that I'm not really into the rest of the cast. This version is as close to the book as you're gonna get. But I enjoyed the 2005 version too.

To me Pride & Prejudice IS the book. I would love to love this series, but to me the acting, the chemistry, the music, they feel of the story is more accurate and beautiful in 2005 movie version. But let's just be happy that people still love them some Austen!
