if not for MEN like Patton, who knows what kind of tyranny would exist. he had foresight, he could have stopped the cold war, but the bankers, i mean the politicians couldnt make money and hold the world in fear if the 3rd army would have overrun russia as russia overran asia. what ever you want to say about men like Patton, you owe any existing freedom to warriors who fight on the right side of history.

He was a very tough commander and a student of history. Many times does the key to unlock the future lay in the past. If the D-Day landings had gone the way Patton would have wanted, he would have landed straight against the German 15Th. Many people may have disliked his style and hated the man himself, but you cannot argue that his results are as good or possibly better than a commander whose troops love him.

This was epic! I love the way it was done, very easy to follow, and really helped me learn some important history. Acting was amazing as well. It's a must see, especially if you're into war movies!

Good movie, I never knew people didn't like Patton. He's right though, being politically correct does much more harm than good.

Classic movie. The acting was really great. It was kind of long, but it was pretty entertaining. Definetly worth seeing!

Patton was a man who lived for war. World War II was the high point and culmination of his life. He didn't fight for any principles, he didn't fight to defend freedom or democracy or any abstract idea; he fought because he loved fighting.

The 3rd ID, US Army, made more combat amphibious landings than any other division in history. On D-Day, the largest amphibious landing, there was not one single Marine in the lot!
