i just spent the past 4 days watching nothing but this show..it starts out kinda cheesey but when you get used to the wide variety of ridiculous accents and the odd moments of truly terrible acting it grips hold of you.....probably the most addictive show i have watched........For me Cara was the greatest thing about it she has some hilarious one liners :P everybody should watch this show and they should bring it back lol

If you want to enjoy an amazing show. DO NOT READ THE BOOKS. If you want to enjoy the books, than why are you here? 9/10 This show was amazing and fun and interesting, I especially loved the special effects on the magic. I keep hearing how they changed it from the books and how much better this and that was blah blah blah I dont really care (recently read the books) I still love this show and I miss it.

If you have read the books then I am sorry to say this show will disappoint. However if you are not familiar with the books I am sure you will love the show. It is a good throwback to the 90's fantasies like Hercules and Xena. This really should have been an adult show airing on a channel like HBO, similar to Game of Throne. Instead of the Disney family friendly crap that it is. While watching the show I was constantly asking myself if the writers of this show even read the books. It seems like they simply read the foot notes and added their own garbage filler and pointless changes to the general story and important character details. This show decides that certain characters for some reason to be made a brother instead of a father. In the book a sister is dead long ago, in the show they do an entire episode based around a characters sister who in the books died as a child. Just senseless changes that ended up making the story much less powerful and more like a silly ass Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Which in itself can be entertaining but not when you base the story on such an epic book. Imagine if in Game of Thrones They simply decided to make the cripple boy walk and instead of an imp they changed Tyrion to a 6ft tall legendary warrior. That is the level of change this show made over the books

Im sure this has been said before, but Im a huge fan of the Sword of Truth book series way before this tv series was ever conceived. I was ecstatic to say the least when I heard about it. I began having concerns when I heard it was going to be on regular tv (this series should of definitely been a movie channel series to properly depict the books) however I tried to stay positive. When I finally got to see the tv series I was absolutely decimated. They massively butchered the books would be a huge understatement. The 'Seeker' should of done what 'The Game of Thrones' HBO series has accomplished in beautiful fashion. Another great book series that stayed true to the books and its fans. I wish the Seeker would of done that more than anything.

Spent the last 4 days watching this. I can't believe they cancelled it. I knew it cancelled even before starting it, but I just cant :( I miss it SO much! This was suchhhh a good show. So unfortunate that it got cancelled. I loved it so much! Richard, Kahlan, zed, Cara, even leo and jensen. Darken Rahl was funny. I feel incomplete after the finale even tho it was a happy ending. :( I feel sad and upset now. I wish, really really wish there was more. I'm absolutely gutted and feel lost :| IDk what I'm going to do now. This sounds Cliche, but tv life has no meaning now :(

I have to agree with wolfenspiel. I love the books by Terry Goodkind, have read over half of them, still working on the rest. This series is like a Disney, PG-13 B movie quality of the book. They changed so many key things its hard to watch. Craig Horner was a terrible, terrible choice to play Richard Cypher. Richard is a tall, rugged man with a beard in the books. Craig Horner probably cant even grow a beard. The only thing that is good about the series, is Bruce Spence makes a good Zed. Almost exactly how I pictured him. Anyways. If the people that had made Game of Thrones had done the Sword of Truth series, I think it would of been awesome. But sadly you get Craig Horner. Let the Down Votes commence!

Tbh i think it would have been way better without Richard atleast for me. I didn't like his character at all. For me he was irritating. The only reason i kept watching cause of Cara,Kahlan and Zedd they are what made the show great from my point of view.

I read this series front to back and still read it starting at book one..I was so excited when I heard it would be made to screen...lo and behold..they FKD it up,not to say its not cool to see a 1000 book series come to life, but geez couldn't they have stayed in the confines of the story..it could've have been a trilogy movie like LOR rather than a tv series..#thehorror

As long as you are not expecting this to be ANYTHING like the SOT series, it's not bad. It's not GOOD, but it's not bad. Think of it more of a random fantasy series. The characters are based on the SOT books, but that is about as close as it gets. Oh, and the characters of Richard and Kahlan are pretty good, but Zed sucks! (Actually, Zed, Chase, Adie, and Darken Rahl are all terribly cast) So this is just a warning to those who are big fans of the books. If you aren't a big fan of the books, and you like tales of magic and fantasy, it's definitely a watchable series. I was just disapointed that they didn't stick a little closer to the story, though Terry Goodkind maay have wanted it that way. Overall, I would say that the less familiar you are with the books, the more you will enjoy this series.

If you like the show make sure to read the books. 1000x better. and to those complaining about it being terrible compared to the books....there are many people like myself who found the books through watching this show (I've read the entire series 4 times now) and are thankful for the show for that. If you can look past the mediocre acting and low budget effects (and the casting of craig as richard) its actually a great show for what it is. I'm on my 5 rewatching of the series

The Books were way better, they changed a lot in the stroy, some of the things that made the show prob get cancelled were the things they changed, if they keep it like the book prob would have lasted longer, all in all though an ok show but i suggest reading the books

I still think this is one of the best shows ever. The way it all ties together in the end is both beautiful and remarkable. 9.5/10

I really loved this show. I watched it regularly. Really wish it was never canceled or at the very least given one more season.

This is such a majestic show! So what if it can seem cheesy from time to time, what show doesn't? So what that the actors aren't the best, the way they get the job done is more than enough for me. I couldn't do any better, and I admire their skill. So what if it doesn't stay faithful to the book series, the basic story is still practically the same, the wonderful world is the same, and it gives people all the more reason to read the book series. I've heard about this show before the book series, and if it was exactly like the books, I wouldn't be motivated to read them. This huge difference between the show and the book series is what makes it all so much fun. It's like telling the same story, but from different perspectives. And I'm extremely grateful to this show for introducing me to such a wonderful, magical universe and setting me on such an exquisite adventure. If it wasn't for this glorious show, I wouldn't have known about the books, or probably wouldn't have been interested enough to read them in the first place. I can agree that Richard here seems a bit annoying, more of a 21 century guy than a man of medieval times. But you can still enjoy his character and his quirks. This show may not live up to the magic of the books, as so many of you say, but it shines by being just the way it is. And maybe if people would stop taking everything so damn seriously, if they'd just lighten up a bit, and stop being so bitter and judgmental, the show would still be going. I absolutely love this show, watched it like 4 times, because it was just that magical. You get used to the character's quirks, and learn to not let the little flaws ruin the wonders this show provides. It's meant to entertain, not compete with the books.
