Gilliam's films are always a pleasure, but dribble on too long and have no clear plot throughout (refer to Tideland). I guess it's like mindlessly walking through a museum to find the exit, you either admire the art in between or think the entire thing is a waste of time. I'll give it a 7.5/10

One of the best movies that foreshadowed our future.

Great film. Reminds me of some Douglas Adams in parts. I agree with Yowat. Not for simpletons.

a lot of deep subconcious and subliminal overtones if you cant fathom being stuck watching a movie that is deep you should prob go back to watching degrassi or something with a more straight forward approach, movie is not for the simpleton

Dang! This film was fantastic! It absolutely blew my mind! Really brilliant. A must see. Acting was great and the plot was amazing. 5/5.

Very Orwell-esque. I see this as a modern adaptation to the novel 1984. A bit more surreal, but saying the same thing for the most part. Well, and the ending was quite different. Really an excellent and fantastic (in all respects) representation of modern civilization and the societies spawned from it, and the effects society can have on the psyche of the people doomed to exist within them. I'm not usually into ''artsy''/metaphorical/satirical type movies, but this one is going straight to my favorites.

Gift tokens, medical gift tokens... it's good at any doctors and also major hospitals, it's also accepted for gynecological examinations including caesarian sections. Now I know where the Obama-care idea came from....

thought it was kinda boring, even tho i knew there were deeper more....how shud i say subconscious undertones to it that i didnt fully understand at first, but towards the last 45 min. it really came together into its own and i saw it for the masterpiece it was. amazing really great directing but you have to have patience to watch it all the way through and try to put the pieces together.

Terry Gilliam’s films always make me feel as if I am lucid in a nightmare or a dream. Brazil in particular is like being stuck in a bizarre DMV with mad costume and production design straight out of a child’s imagination. Now that I am older and understand the film better, I have such a great appreciation for its satire.

Amazing film I'd personally classify as SciFi with political undertones. The architecture, technology and fashion all enhance the plot with a unique artistic style. While you can easily recognize the era this piece was made in, some of it's qualities are timeless.

Funny how the computers are just typewriters with a fake flat screen with a mini tv inside it. Love the imagination just funny how it had to be done since flat screen didn't even exist back then. Amazing movie.

This movie is up there with 1984. May even be better to be honest.

This is Terry Gilliam at his best. Delicious black humour delivered as only he can, visually superb and brilliantly acted. Highly recommended.

Another creative piece of art from the mind of Mr Gilliam. Great stuff! The lovely Michael Palin playing such a horrible character, great acting. Love the music as well. Have it as my ringtone...

My brother and I grew up watching this film.. had it on vhs in the 80's.. explains a lot ;) My favourite bit has always been the pods in the chutes in the offices, in fact the whole damn film is just sheer brilliance. Gilliam is a genius.
