I do like the new Doctor's sudden penchant for catty put downs, but he's being hampered by some lousy plots and the decision to make him wrong all the time and his annoying assistant right. It's unfortunate, but any BBC show will after a while be ruined by their politically correct finger wagging. In the old days of Dr Who they would bring in a couple of regular characters and, to give it a twist, maybe make one of them half lizard. Now they say hey, let's make them lesbians. No wait, let's make them married lesbians because gay marriage is an 'issue' which we should address. Also let's make the woman smarter than the Doctor, even though that makes no sense, because women are equal and that's an issue which we should address. Now in this episode Clara needs a boyfriend so let's be careful with our casting because mixed race relationships is an issue which we should address...again. Rose's boyfriend? Black guy. Martha's boyfriend? White guy. Donna's boyfriend? Black guy. Now Clara's boyfriend? You betcha. So Amy Pond is the only exception...maybe she was a racist!

Well, so far we've had a rehash of an old storyline and the obligatory "one dalek episode a season" episode. Have to say, not impressed with the season so far. It's like the writers have gotten lazy and have just given up trying.

Can't say I'm liking this new Doctor much. It's either that or the stories are lacking. This last epi was too much 'Fantastic Voyage' and too little 'Doctor Who'. No character development other than some 'I'm a grumpy Doctor with angry eyebrows and I'm Scottish' w/out any frantic witty by dry dialogue that I've come to be used to and no real connection with Clara and doesn't really care if it's her there or not, just as long as it's a warm body to keep him company. I liked all the previous Doctors though they did take a couple of episodes to get used to (Actually liked Eccleston the best, even tho he was only one season) so maybe that is the problem. I'm sure I'll watch the whole season, but so far I'm pretty disappointed in it.

i.. I... "You are a good Dalek" OMG IT JUST SHATTERED MY HEART BECAUSE IN "Dalek" The Dalek said, "you would make a good Dalek" it all just connected in my brain and made feels of doom!!

I really enjoyed this episode. I have always disliked Clara, so I will be glad when she is gone; However, I think the episode actually showed glimmers of what the show used to be. The show that hooked me initially. I like the new doctor and am excited to see more of him, I just wish the story plot was more interesting. They really need to work on moving away from the cybernetic organisms that need human organs, or spaced these episodes further apart than they were. Because it seemed a bit repetitive. Good character development/growth in this episode though.

I've got to admit the Daleks are not my favorite villans - dont even talk about the cyber men - so I'm disappointed they have been introduced so early, especially after the first episodes cyborgs. However we will wait and see

watching the finished copy was so much better then the work prints. Its just all the added extras that improve it for the viewers

Some folks wonder why we (the fans) watch the Work Print copies of Episodes. I personally watch it because I like to see what the actors do without all the special EFX, CGI and whatnot. I get a real feeling of the Actors skills when they have to rely solely on the acting and not the EFX. Also when I see the completed product later on, I can compare and get a real feel for the work provided by the other folks. I get to see where they added the CGI, Sound EFX, Special EFX and whatnot. it's a real learning experience, that not all the fans can deal with, or appreciate. Without spreading *spoilers* this was a decent episode. You get to see a different side of The Doctor, and as his newest regeneration is gelling and he is getting a new sense of himself, we get to see that newest personality grow and sort itself out. Peter Capaldi has the face to be a bit gruff and stand-offish, to see him develop into the latest Doctors Persona will be a treat, and to also see how his relationship with his companion changes will be interesting as well.
