MAYBE SPOILER*****This is (imo) the best incarnation of Moriarty i have ever had the pleasure of seeing. No idea how he will have survived, but you know he does. I am so glad they are giving cumberbach so many opportunities now. Hobbit, StarTrek, who knows what else. the man deserves it. Such a brilliant actor and such a sexy voice. Hopefully the same type of fame and opportunities will be given to andrew scott(moriarty). He is so good it is almost scary. makes me excited for the entire movie/television industry to see how the UK's influence and talent has immersed itself into hollywood.

I have to comment I'm sorry I just can't help myself, this is the second time I've watched it. When he jumped there was a truck that was exactly next to the sidewalk, it was filled with pillows. He jumps into the truck at the same time Molly times it to throw a corpse probably out a window so the fall will seem continuous and the blood splat will be realistic. John starts running, people (homeless network or paid associates) filter in to block his view and the man with the bike intentionally runs into him to slow him down, after all if John say's he's dead then he is. Meanwhile before anyone gets a clear view Sherlock jumps from the pillow truck positions himself where the body went splat and either smashes his head on the ground or fakes the head wound some other way. The other body is quickly removed by Molly with the people hustling around the corner, or put into the pillow truck, which pulls away before Watson can even right himself to come running again. The reason I say people are paid is that they arrive too quickly after the fall and when John tries to check the pulse his hand is quickly pulled away by a woman with a watch, the medics supposedly helping are simply shaking the body. I swear this is only the second time I've watched it, after the first time I couldn't even bear to look at the site I was so anxious, troubled, and confused. But wait, eyes and brains, the creators gave you everything you need to welcome Sherlock back next season. After the death the funeral is an easy part, closed casket no problem, open casket means a drug to suspend functions for a while then switched with a surrogate before burial, or maybe just dug up later. As to why he stays hidden after he has eliminated the immediate threat is a good allusion to the Doyle versions. He knows Moriarte still has people, he said so in his last threat, he knows they can get to John and all the others, while he's dead he can hunt them knowing his friends are safe. *I think Mycroft knows, I think he does in the book* Hope you enjoy the theory, and please don't hate me for speculating. I have no intention of ruining the next episode for you, after all I may be completely wrong, but you already know he's alive this is just for people like me who were just angry having to wait for the explanation. Cheers!

this has been (by far) the greatest adaptation of Sherlock Holmes to have ever been created. i nearly fucking cried at the end (ok, a few tears, but come on) i'm glad to hear that there IS going to be a third season, i found myself screaming "NO! THERE HAS TO BE MORE!" and to the person that said that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud, damn right he would! I have totally been Sherlocked from the start.

One of the most brilliant episodes ever. I\'m so glad that there will be a next season coming along. The last 10 minutes were executed so brilliantly! The thought that Sherlock would sacrifice himself for the only friends he does have was truly endearing. But of course, Sherlock being Sherlock would have liaised with perhaps Molly to \'fake\' it; there must be a reason why Sherlock asked Moriarty to come onto the roof. He must have anticipated his moves. Benedict Cumberbatch is LEGENDARY!

I went back and watched this again to see if it was still as amazing the second time around as it was the first and it totally was. Just...amazing. I feel like Sherlock fans have already been waiting forever for series 3!

OK. Almost gave up on season 2 - since the writing was getting lazy, stupid and obvious, and the chemistry between Watson and Holmes a bit too mechanical. But the 3rd episode made it all worthwhile!!! Just sooo yummy, almost perfect! Moriarty was all crunchy delicious crazy badness and Sherlock hilarious. A WHOLE YEAR!?? Withdrawal is setting in already...
