A 40 minute propaganda advertisement for the D.O.D. and their 700 billion $ budget. Patriotism and fear sells.

Like a Law and Order for the covert Intelligence set. Only here it's about the intelligence analysts who identify the threat and the Spec Ops folks who eliminate them. So far none of the usual moronic mistakes by folks who are supposed to be smarter than the audience, in order to create tension when the situation should provide plenty. Nor the invincibility of the good guys to survive hails of bullets while dropping the bad guy with one shot. I'm very hopefully. I suspect the really bad reviews are from the crowd that would/will never like this kind of show.

Every single police and military show has a "terrorists" which did "dozens" of attacks in Europe and US, while every single rl attack unfortunate as they are and as rare as they are get huge media attention, and those attacks thank god do not happen often. Television Fear Factory is really starting to get annoying, if you were to live in average TV Show there would be terrorist attack happening every 30mins.

I'd say hilariously bad, the Spec Ops bit is kind of bearable i.e Scorpion/MacGyverishy. The war room stuff is a classic though.. as clee as it can be shay. Character-wise, 1 dimensional at best. I'm surprised they didn't get Steven S onto it.

I have to call out "Idiot Babysitters." That is a good name for a show.

This is terrible. I'd recommend checking out "Seal Team" that is also airing now. This show is plain painful to watch.

ok... this show, just F.U.B.t.N. in the first ten minutes. granted special ops does cross train their team members, but a sniper is probably not going to be carrying an MP-45 as their primary weapon, and the medic is probably not going to be tasked as the sniper on overwatch with just one other team member in hostile territory. the premise for the pilot made me facepalm because there was a pretty huge window to get out of dodge before being boxed in, but the opportunity was wasted??? and i am pretty sure doctors without borders does not go solo anywhere with the locals. they too have PMCs and i really dont think there is any such thing as a commute to and from tent city. (doesnt anyone ever read the actual state department bulletins or do any real world research before they write for these shows?) special ops is not supposed to be a buch of idiot babysitters. when is the small screen going to portray things like this accurately instead of the flusterclucks they keep churning out?

If you are going to create a show about intelligence then for please sake do some research before making episodes. even if the writers read a few spy fictional books they would have gotten better knowledge. All this does is check the boxes on all the stereotypes and pander to the fear mongering. How can NBC have a show like this and in the same token have Seth Meyers laying into the fear mongers. The hypocrisy is laughable.

True for everything on air, television needs to sacrifice realism for drama (and for military shows, for safety), so as long as people keep that in mind, it's not a bad show.
