British Television is so much more engaging than What we are use too here in the USA...Much more creative with plot and storyline; Seems a much higher respect for their viewers... ; ^ }

This show creates an entire world around the 'Frankenstein's monster' tale from a point of view I never imagined. The issues of medical ethics (use of cadavers), religious superstition and politics against such research could certainly be slow going if one is looking frights and scares. Sean Bean creates a character who is easy to follow and whose tragic backstory makes him sympathetic. As he tries to figure out the perplexing situation before him and allies emerge, this promises to be a very rich series.

It's a cross between Ripper Street and Penny Dreadful. If you like either of those shows you'll love this , i do.

I almost passed this one by but decided to see what is was like. I'm so glad I did. It's really well done. I'm watching the first few episodes back to back to catch up. Love Sean Bean. I feel like I'm repeating myself but the UK does it again!!!

Season One was brilliant. It has multiple layers making it a somewhat complex watch. I have just re-watched it, and as another member commented, it is a cross between Ripper Street & Penny Dreadful. I reckon season two will be brilliant as I've never seen Sean Bean not carry even a badly done film or series enough to make it worth viewing. Thank you, uploaders.

First thought, jeez another Frankenstein,pass. Second thought its UK drama so it should at least lean towards good. Final thought. Amazing. Great performance by Bean and a great angle to take on the story. Once you realize its not just a ye olde detective tale your left wanting more but in the fashion of UK shows also fulfilled by the season so its always all good.

This is no shoe-string TV series.There are some big name British actors in this, maybe that is why it is so good for an ITV production.

Loved it. An expected, yet unexpected end.

Very enjoyable watch. The last 30 minutes was a bit predictable but it does leave an open ending for additional episodes. Still, Sean Bean was great, as expected. This drama continues to prove the UK dramas are far better than what Hollywood is pumping out these days.

I like it so far. Perhaps Sean Bean won't be killed off so quickly in this story? Thank you for sharing your library.
